Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
Howdy Folks
Hopefully someone can help me with my questions. I will be doing a day trip to the resort on Feb 2nd. Flying down from SF area and flying back that night. Just wondering if you might know what the crowds will be like on that sat.
Thank you in advance.
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
it's the mice age 10th anniversary that weekend. sooo crowded is my guess?
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
Busy all weekends are.
Being from the Bay Area are you going to watch the best team win the Superbowl?
ESPN Zone gets very crowded and you have to arrive before the game to get in, this will probably be worst with a West Coast team and locals of the team visiting DLR. You must order food, you can just sit and watch. There are some other area sports bars, but expect them to also be crowded for the big game.
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
It will be busy. The fact that a CA team is in the Super Bowl might help a bit, but there are a LOT of non Football fans out there.
As others said, don't go near ESPN Zone though. They will probably be playing the game on the big screen outside ESPN Zone as well.
Go 49ers!!!

If its busy it won't be because of the Micechat meet.

Super Bowl weekend being "dead" at Disney is one of the all time myths that isn't true. I've been at least 3 times. It's about the same crowd level as any other Sunday.

Unless of course, all 62,000+ members all show up at once.
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
About ten years ago I went to Magic Mountain on Superbowl Sunday and it was mostly dead. I went to Disneyland that day the next year and it was packed. Different demographic, though.
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
Thank you all very much. I will be there on the Saturday and back home in time to watch our San Francisco 49ers play.
Thanks again you have all be very helpful.
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
I will be driving down from SF Saturday night to spend Sunday and Monday there. Here's to hoping crowds will be watching the game Sunday!
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
Never been to Disneyland on Super Bowl Sunday because I'm watching the game. Of course, I've never been to a Super Bowl either.
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
Disneyland is always busy on Superbowl weekend. All the spouses that don't watch the game take the kids to Disneyland. Just a theory.

What does that mean?
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
I find there to be an influx of moms with their kids on Sunday. Sometimes whole packs of moms. Probably because Disneyland is a little bit more kid friendly than watching dad and his friends screaming expletives at the television for three hours.
Re: Superbowl weekend busy? or not?
It's the kind of thing where everyone thinks it will be dead, so everyone goes and the place is packed as usual.
