Re: Footage of the Ill-fated Chernabog Tower in World of Color

The original layout was genius and made perfect sense, emotionally and dramatically, but once they altered it, it got messy. Opening night was one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever had seeing a show. It was the first time the park had attempted to do something that wasn't just entertainment, but art. But since they've retouched it, it lost that power. Brave though, was the worst offender.

Are they still using the Brave segment? I understand they're still trying to market it, but I think it has kinda overstayed its welcome.

EDIT: I don't think it was really welcome to begin with I guess.

Well I'm going to have to disagree. Firework shows use familiar music to create its own unique imagery and themes. WOC uses images, music, and themes from pre existing movies to create a clip show on water screens. There just wasn't enough originality in the end product to satisfy me imo.

But I admit that it is EXTREMELY beautiful and agree that it is, in a way, more of a work of art. I often see the show just for the spectacle of the thing. But to me it is lacking a bit of substance that an overarching theme of "color" just doesn't provide.
In the quest for quality, I have no problem with the characters footing the bill.

The tower is not still in the lagoon, it's lying outside backstage.

Was the Alice segment ever actually executed, even for Imagineers? If so, are there any vids of it?
