Both online and in the printed schedule, the fireworks were scheduled for 8:40 last night. Crowds were light and I found a decent spot in the hub around 8:30, and within two minutes, the show started. It worked out great for me, but I'm curious why this happened. Anyone know anything?

Any time I have noticed a disparity between "Disneyland" time and what my cell phone says, the Disneyland clocks (FP return times, etc.) seem to be ahead of my cell phone clock by a few minutes
That wasn't the case last night. After it ended I walked past Star Tours and the FP return time said 8:50. It definitely started about eight minutes early.Quote:

magical is correct, the resort stage manager will call for early fireworks if they believe a weather system is approaching (which was the case two nights ago)
Its Disney Time Remember! There clocks are on thier own time. When ever I go to Disney I always do a +/- 5 minutes to every time/clock/ticket/reminder/ect. If you do that than their time is always right.
I felt a bit sorry for a family who approached the castle area the other night after the fireworks, and did not know the fireworks were being shown in the 8 o'clock hour rather than the 9. They were so disappointed that they totally missed them. Not everyone reads the times guide. Of course they should, and they should show up at least 15 to 20 minutes early, although some people wait for hours to get a prime location.
On the 2 nights that I viewed Remember, I had a great spot, so I better understand the earlier arrivals.
