Of course this is only ever a problem if a manager, coordinator, or secret auditor is onboard to witness it, and so often the skipper will make a quick judgment of their audience once they board and then deliver accordingly. And then it varies largely by skipper, how they feel about providing a possibly better show vs risking some disciplinary action, how much effort they put into memorizing multiple jokes, etc..
I always thought that the unwritten rule was that it can be open season on jokes when you're at the far end of the river but elsewhere you always stick to the script but you're right about the whole mystery guest thing. Sucks, in the past I've been on some pretty hilarious tours but the past few years have definitely been by the book.

Estoplover...I worked for seven years at the park, back in the land before time and annual passholders and websites that can get you into trouble.

Thank you for keeping the magic going.

Everything I wrote was the truth. There were even more discounts that I didn't list. All told, the value of the Disney Family Holiday Celebration could very easily add up to to between $650 to $1k of savings for the average Cast Member.

Indy... Sometimes only one loading platform is used. Who makes that decision under what criteria, and can both loading platforms be used / not used with the ride still operating?

Fair enough. Just trying to gauge whether all CM's felt like the Holiday parties going away was a bad thing or just a few.

Re: Ask a disneyland attractions CM (thats me)

Folks, with no disrespect intended for the OP and most participants here, this thread has been closed. CM created threads like this are often problematical, in that at some point, it becomes more and more possible for others to identify who the CM is. Often to their co-workers, sometimes to their superiors at work. When we reach the point where others are publicly trying to refine who the OP may be, we have gone too far.

We all love to get the inside story from Disney employees, but on this site, protecting the job security of Disney employees is far, far higher on our list of priorities than learning the latest scoop.

It would not be appropriate to restart this thread. Thank you all for your understanding.
