Star Wars Weekend in Disneyland?

Hello my lovely Chatters!

I'm looking for info on Star Wars weekends. I know that they occur in WDW, but I thought I had heard that there were unofficial events in DLR as well. Can anyone confirm this? I did a quick google search and scrolled through a few pages, but all were associated with WDW.

Haha that's one of the ones I said I would do if I were in charge of it. I'm reeeeeeally hoping it happens!!

I think they do it near the end of June. I'm not sure it happened last year because of the Super Crowds due to DCA reopening. I'll see if I can find some info, usually these events have websites.

While a lot of people have said it works well to do Star Wars Weekends at WDW, because the weekends are not as busy and DHS the park that hosts them is no as busy, I think DLR may be ready. With the balancing of crowds between DL and DCA, and TL slowing down from it's crazy 2011 summer when Star Tours 2.0 reopened, now DL can probably host the event. Instead of just weekends, maybe a Thursday - Saturday program in May, using slower days and some AP blockouts to not overwhelm the event.

Only in Disney Studio but I too was hoping to see something like this for the "Limited Magic" - I would drive over from Phoenix just to see this. And I know people from the west side of the US fly to Orlando just to see it so it seems like a no brainer to do an event like this at Disneyland or DCA. Heck I even think about flying to Orlando just so I can experince it - LOL !

I agree with both of you!! I've been considering making the trip to WDW during their Star Wars weekends to experience it. Gold Mickey, would you be a Jedi, or part of the dark side? I'm partial to storm troopers, myself.

than I could see a permanent Star Wars weekends like WDW has probaly in September so TDA could keep the crowds at the parks after summer.

I know they make a jedi outfit for Duffy, I don't know if you wear the same size, though. I hope you find someone to make a whole wardrobe for you!

Sometimes I wonder how I get through life being this blind! Thank you, again, swampy!! It looks like I work June 30th, but seeing as how its Star Wars... I might need to take some time off.

I'd love a star wars weekend here. Never been to Fl's, but I'm rather jealous of their Star Tours area because it is sooooo awesome with the Ewok village, Imperial walker, the speeders and the look of the store.

Their Star Tours area is why I feel like Star Wars Weekend works better there than at DL. I love that Imperial Walker
