The other dress was way too saturated for my tastes. It was like an acid yellow. I think this new dress is much more timeless and real, and I also think that it only looks pale because of the media it was taken on (an iPhone, which tends to wash things out).
I like it. I find the old costume a little bold and gaudy-looking up close, much better-suited for a stage. The color on the new dress tones things down for up close viewing and adds more detail and interest. I hope they take this approach with other costumes as well.
I like it. The different fabrics and textures seem to give the dress a richer feel and more dimension. I hope it breathes, though, for the actress's sake - that velour looks as though it could get awfully hot in Southern California weather. If she's at the indoor Fantasy Faire come summer, I guess it solves the issue, though.
Much! That looks to be a more realistic representation of what it looks like in person, I'd assume. The white balance is much better, albeit perhaps a tad saturated, but that's what you've got to work with! Thank you!
