I didn't mean to attack your post in particular, I just had no idea that so many people had gotten so conditioned to the loose "enforcement" that taking it away is going to require this much of an adjustment on their part.
By the way, this new policy will not alter my day One bit. I always obeyed the return times 100% of the time. Of course, this is just a message board, I'm not in a court of law, under oath, so I can't really prove that, but thanks for making accusations and assumptions about me anyway! If you read over the posts, you'll see that there are plenty of people who have stated that they always were respectful of the return time, and had no idea about the loose enforcement.
My days in the park certainly aren't overly planned either. If I get on a ride, great. If not, I'm grateful for that AP that will allow me to come back and catch it later. I don't know, it's like,"I have to wait in lines!?And at a theme park!? And the most popular one in the U.S.!? The flagship park of the most popular franchise in the World!?".
My experience has still been that the best way to beat the lines is to get there early in the morning. If you're there at opening, I'd bet that you can do just as many rides during that first hour as you could have done in the last hour with a handful of expired FasPasses.
I am with others who are confused as to why some people are going to let not being able to break the rules ruin their day in the park. Let something that matters ruin your day like someone potentially getting injured or an unexpected ride closure or something. Not the fact that now you can't skip the line whenever you feel like it.
The same could be said for people who don't understad why other peoples days are ruined. To each their own it really shouldn't bother anyone one way or the other honestly. None of us know how each other like to enjoy the park certain things ruin it for some while other things ruin it for others. Circle of life I say![]()
Ce la vie
It was nice while it lasted. Though I liked being able to come back anytime after the window, I am fine with them enforcing what should have been enforced in the first place...
Interesting to see it being enforced this last Saturday. Maybe a few people were trying to argue that these new enforcement policies were not clearly stated to them, but I noticed the signs even though I waited patiently in the Standby lines...but from my observation, it balanced a 75min wait for IJA to somewhere between 40-50 minutes.
Hopefully people understand the purpose of FP. I have to admit, it was lovely not seeing a horde of people streaming in on Space Mountain with FPs.
That also was a smooth pace...but I've been late on my FP before too...haha
