This may sound stupid, but I cant be the only one. On RSR, when you are underground, what are the red things hanging from the ground above you? Old car light fossils? This is making me nuts and I give up! What are they?
If so those are tail lights from old cars, I think probably like the 50's and 60's.
Yeah, but they annoyingly strobe like the taillights of some recently-made cars. I was afraid this would happen once LEDs became more commonly used, both in the parks and regular life. LEDs don't have to strobe (a result of pulse-width modulation), but adjusting their brightness without strobing would require more complex circuits that supply a regulated current. It's far from impractical, though--my little single-AA LED flashlight has several current-regulated modes, for example. I wish that WDI would take the same care in designing/choosing their LED controllers--it's not THAT difficult.
