What should I do?

I have been to Disneyland many times before and have done just about everything, but this weekend I am going down to Cali by myself to go to Disneyland with a couple of friends for the first time without family. Any suggestions to make the day more brighter?

Unless your family seriously hinders your Disney experience I wouldn't do anything different. I went for the first time without family last spring and I just enjoyed being there. About all you can do is just go at your own pace.

I agree with DrFink; don't do anything different. Adults can have just as much fun at Disneyland as kids, Fantasyland to Space Mountain, they are all good fun.

Yes, the Space Mountain, Star Tours, Indy ect are the big exciting highlights but I have had several people tell me afterwards "Thank you for making me ride Dumbo, I never would have ridden that but I had a great time."

The best thing about going to Disneyland with different people than the usual trip is finding out how they like to do Disney and sharing your favorite things. Maybe they like to do something you've never done before like grabbing an ice cream cone for the fireworks, dancing to the music with a face character, or just watching the fish by the trail near Big Thunder.

Enjoy yourself! There should be no reason that family would define a trip as it's the journey through The Park that makes the best part. Enjoy every moment, do things you wouldn't normally do and have fun!
