Please.......tell.......me......this.....is......n ot.....true..........
I mean I would rather it just be the Wizard of Oz preview, I really hope it is not Boy Band Week, whether that means covers by characters or actual performances. Our group is going from Feb 26 - March 1st, and I just really hope this is not true.
Can someone expand on this a little bit? It's all sort of vague to me.
@ssaamm Thanks for clarifying. I had forgotten this proposed week as well. I watched the preview on YouTube and it is not as bad as I thought. I was imagining the Newsiest on the Trolley in DCA doing this.
If anyone is interested here is a YouTube link of the preview:
Dapper Dans sing boy bands One Direction, Backstreet Boys for Disney World Limited Time Magic - YouTube
Also here is the official description:
Dapper Dans Sing Boy Bands: Dapper Dans, the iconic quartet from Main Street, U.S.A., will add a special finale to their show, claiming the title of the “Original Boy Band” and delivering a medley of hits from One Direction, *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys.
Although this is still a rumor, I am not as horrified as I was originally.
Noooooooooo!!!! No God Please Noooo!
I don't mine BSB send there my favorite band but the other two boy bands no thank you never could stand NSYNC and the other no thank you.
Regarding the You Tube link of the preview, they couldn't be serious! You can hear everybody laughing. It would be a total joke if the Dapper Dans actually performed these songs!
Indeed, it is comical. They sounded so silly in that video. The lyrics to the songs, with that style of singing is just off.
Yikes. I clearly must be in the minority here but I actually liked it. Even with the mix of old styling with new lyrics, I thought it was pretty great. I think guests will get a kick out of it, especially when walking by only to realize the Dapper Dans are singing these kinds of songs. I'd raise hell if it was something permanent, but for a week? I think I can deal.
I think it's cute. It's still in Dapper Dan style, they put their own spin on it. I'll be sure to stop and enjoy it just as I would any of their performances.
Well, the good news for those of you who are rather displeased about this... If it's only the Dapper Dans that are doing it then it really shouldn't negatively impact anyone's visit.
