    hahaha oh wow

Seriously though, this forum is so heavily moderated I can't imagine why such bigoted posts shouldn't be deleted.

Hilarious and disturbing at the same time! Give them some credit. Our rides take 100's of millions of dollars and take years to complete, they get them done in a weekend and a couple of trips to the Home Depot.

I was introduced to Nara Dreamland by Ron Schneider when we worked together at Magic Mountain pre-EPCOT. He had a wonderful binder of black and white photos that were amazing. The builder/developer copied many of the buildings at Disneyland, but often with less detail. The castle was shaped the same, but was grayish/lavender stucco with sparkly bits in it. The skyway and monorail were stock rides and the Matterhorn was a stock coaster with what looked like a giant papier mache mountain stuck on.

One of the peculiar things was the Adventureland sign reproduced, but it said "Ancestorland". Some of the pictures of Town Square filled with '60s dressed Japanese people had a real Twilight Zone quality to them.

Hey, I just want to update this thread a bit...

A rip off of The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror in Italy

It's hilarious in how painful it looks to ride. The only thing I really like about it are the falling letters. Other than that, I'd say this is a runner up to a list of painful rides, possibly up there with the Matterhorn in its current state

    Total Tender Rides: 20
    Total Lilly Belle Rides: 9
    Total Dapper Days Attended: 2
Total Mark Twain Wheelhouse Rides: 5

That looks just like the old Freefall ride they used to have at Magic Mountain.

Heh, that reminds me of "The Edge", a ride at Great America from when I was a kid.

First of all, thank you! This little gem kept me up later than I had intended...run tomorrow am will be tough - but this was well worth it! Best stuff I have seen on the internet in a long time.

These "alternate" Disney rides are how I dream of Disneyland. Whenever I have a "Disneyland Dream" the park is never as it is in real life. Always blurry, different rides, most of them are walk-through for some reason, very open, spooky people...anyway, these videos remind me of Disneyland in my dream state, so thanks again for sharing!
