Question Wizard of Oz vs. Lone Ranger for Circle D/BTR BBQ Expansion

There has been rumors about using the Circle D and Big Thunder Ranch and Barbecue area for a potential expansion (the old Cascade Peak site can also be use). There are a lot of rumors and ideas to what might go there including two movies that are coming out this year. The movies are Oz: The Great and Powerful and The Lone Ranger. If the expansion was between these two movies, which one would you choose? Please keep this thread between these two Movies. Thanks

I don't think I would prefer either, by if I had to choose between the two, I would have to go with Lone Ranger. At least that fits into Frontierland. Oz just seems really fantasyland to me.
"You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer."

I chose Oz because I am more familiar with that movie, and it would serve as a nice Fantasyland-Frontierland transition if done right.

ORWEN: I would prefer something on Oz because that would most likely have a more lasting appeal than Lone Ranger. And since the land area, itself, is still close enough to Fantasyland it wouldn't clash with any other land. Oz is a natural fit inside Disneyland because of its endless fantasies.

Still, there's no reason for why Oz couldn't be part of Fantasyland. If they just isolate the area from the rest of Frontierland with trees, the entrance to "Oz land" could be by the old Skyway station and could serve as a continuation of Fantasyland.

I'd be happy either way, honestly. As long as they do SOMETHING.

I wouldn't mind a Lone Ranger dark ride or even a stunt show back there but not an Oz ride. I hated the original (as classic as it is) and the reboot looks not much better.

i voted lone ranger. frontierland needs an expansion more than fantasyland does. this would allow the big thunder ranch bbq to stay, which i quite like. the railroad going right through frontierland also works perfectly, it seems like they could do something interesting with that.

of course i wish they do a frontierland expansion with little to no 'lone ranger' references, but i'll take what i can get.

Re: Wizard of Oz vs. Lone Ranger for Circle D/BTR BBQ Expansion

I voted for Lone Ranger as I think that the obvious Fantasyland expansion should be to remove the Fantasyland Theater and build north, making a "loop" by connecting via the tunnel to Toontown, they could take out Gadget's go coaster and put in a Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (hopefully an even better version than MK), or a Ratatouille ride.

So . . . I think Circle D and points north of Big Thunder Ranch should be used for a Frontierland ride. We've already got Splash and Big Thunder around the river, in addition to Pirates and HM, so I'm hoping they put in something a little bit different, such as WRE style ride using the new patents they obtained for a water ride boat vehicle that can point itself various directions, with dramatic dark ride scenes, and perhaps have some special effects for white water scenes.

A Wizard of Oz vs. Lone Ranger attraction sounds awesome! Oh wait...that was supposed to be a choice, wasn't it?
