Talking *Drawn To The Magic* Show Has Moved...

According to the update on MousePlanet today, it looks like the *DTTM* street show has moved to where *DUH* used to be. Has anyone seen the show at this new location? And if so, is it exactly the same show, props, music and costumes?

I personally like this show and see it as often as I can. I'm wondering tho, is this move just temporary until they can decide what other type of show to put on that stage???

And I just thought of this. Before DTTM came to life, Hollywood had a great street show called, *Chance To Shine* with 3 fabulous singing girls dressed in different costumes. They sang about what it was like being *extras* in the movie business. I absolutely LOVED it and was upset when Disney decided to retire the show.

And if memory serves me correctly, Disney got rid of CTS to make way for DTTM. Because they wanted a street show in front of the Animation Building to draw in guests to that *attraction*. And after each show of DTTM, the performers would welcome everyone to go in and check it out.

I'm curious to know how the show will deal with that now! Hmmmmmm???

Whoa really? I have to check this out! That kind of sucks but it could be a good change. Quite a haul for the characters to go from there to the animation building with all of the kids running behind them lol. I will check this out on Friday.

I didn't see the show but yes, it was set up on the stage. They had the three boards up there and stuff.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    I saw the show...

Heck, it was my photos that you saw at MousePlanet today...

There are a LOT more in my album below (The show I saw was on 1/13/06), it seemed they added some additional ad-libbing between songs, but all the musical numbers were just the same as before.

Darkbeer.. thanks for the photos. Peter Pan was in the show?! He's never in it! How awesome. I look forward to seeing it soon then. Although I am partial to Herc who always remembers me lol.

Good call. Makes the back area seem less dead, plus it stops the Hollywood Blvd. blockage.

I agree. I am glad that they moved it. I always thought that it intimidated people from going in the Animation Building (and disturbing the show.)

Great pictures, Darkbeer!! The show looks more fun and festive, and I'm sure the performers enjoy having a real stage now! It looks like colorful streamers come flying out to the audience at the end of the show. Gee, Disney hasn't done something like that in a show for quite a while. I'm glad to see it back! I can't wait to see the show now...more than ever!

Heh. I saw a few nice photo's of the Sub tunnel and thought I would do a little photo-enhancement to see what was inside! All I found was a fire extinguisher. =(

Re: *Drawn To The Magic* Show Has Moved...

Ha! I realized that it moved when I was standing there, waiting for it in front of the Animation building, then heard it on the stage behind me ha!

But I like it on the stage. Yes, Peter Pan is one of the characters and I have seen him in the show when they were in front of the animation building. I believe its either him or Hercules. But Sorcerer Mickey and Cinderella I've always seen in all the performances I catch.

I went this past Friday the 13th (scary...!) and saw the show on the stage

ETA: darkbeer! you and I were there on the same day! I was at the 11am show...
