Have you ever come accross Roaches on Pirates? Or new Orleans Square?

A little over a year ago, while just boarding Pirates as the boat left the dock and into the calm water I noticed a Large Roach running along the top of the seat in front of me. This got me thinking that this place must be Roach heaven! Dark, and wet, and Blue Bayou is littlerally on the water on the ride? Do they have Issues in the Food areas in New Orleans Square? Club 33, the dream suite? Yuck.
On a second note I was relaxing at the castle in one of the seats on the draw bridge area, and I lifted up one of the rings that are around the base of one of the flags there. Out came some mega Big Roaches! Anyone else see these creatures around the park?

I've never seen them at Disney. I have seen them (in scuttling droves) at dusk at Magic Mountain. It was crazy.

Not roaches, but mice and a possum, once.

Although it's out of Disney's control, that would have freaked me out! I can't stand roaches.

OH!! roach = bug. That kind of roach! Nope, never seen either kind at DL.

I'm positive that Disney has a very good bug-prevention program for any food prep/service area. They would be aware that they are a magnet for anyone wanting to 'break a story' as well as a target for the 'bug in my soup' lawsuit crowd.

Bugs outside are another thing. They serve their purpose in nature & are usually best left alone, even if they are ooky. AFter all, we wouldn't want the Orkin Man to spray Jiminy, would we?

You know those letter gradings they have posted on restaurant windows in LA and San Diego Counties, and other counties surrounding Orange County? A couple years back the Orange County Board of Supervisors voted on requiring the Department of Health to do this in Orange County as well. They voted against it. I just can't help but wondering if Orange County's largest employer had anything to do with this. Especially with what the OP saw -- I'm sure that's not just a once in a while occurrence of this.

Judging by the aroma and the clouds of smoke, there used to be roaches in Injun Joe's Cave. It explains why I was always so hungry when I left the Island.

I think they have to post certificates that a restaurant has been inspected and passed, but they aren't specific as to the letter grade. I think Disney is probably ok with this (they would have to be since its the current law). Its the letter grade system they probably wouldn't want, as they probably wouldn't want to post a grade of B or lower.

I saw a few of them scuttling across the rocks near the Alice in Wonderland bathrooms at night. Other than that the only thing I've seen is the occasional cat.

Never seen any Roaches in DLR...... but there was a spider in our room at the GCH!!
