Post Dave Smith presentation for APs: "Disneyland: The Way We Were"

Upcoming AP LTM event, a presentation hosted by Disney Legend and Chief Archivist, Dave Smith. It will be a photo presentation of Disneyland's history. It sounds interesting. It will be held next Friday, March 22nd, at 5:00 and 7:00 pm.

Dave is a wonderful speaker! That should be a great show!

Funny how park history all of a sudden becomes so important and respected when there are opportunities for quick and easy cash to me made.

This is free, so you have no point.

While it may technically be "free" for AP's, AP's are not free. So really, doppio has a point.

I still see no point. I understand what you guys are thinking, but it's not like Disneyland was ever free. The Disney Company in general. It's been happening for years.

And what would that point be?

Unless something is offered free to anyone who wants it then it's just another Disney "money grab"?

I'm impressed (for once) by this LTM event but registration opens at 11:30am on a Friday?? What are the chances that there will still be spots open if I try to register at 4pm?

Here's a side-question too, is it already spring break for L.A./O.C. kids? San Diego's is Mar.29 through April 6th.

They're pushing it as an incentive to purchase an annual pass. At the bottom of the page it says "With Limited Time Annual Passholder Magic, Annual Passholders have exciting opportunities, offers and events like this."

So what? I'm guessing you're not an AP? If you aren't, why are you complaining? Heck, if you are an AP, why are you complaining?

Gosh people, I hope you guys don't visit the parks with this kind of attitude, as I'm sure you're guaranteed to have a bad day.

Won't there be exclusive merchandise peddled at the end of the show? All I know is Disney doesn't do this just to be kind.

I am really quite convinced that with some people Disney is damned if they do an damned if they don't.
