    Re: Floral Mickey Question

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the first one is colored rocks not flowers.

The older one looks much friendlier. I don't like the current version at all.
It's actually "Cars Land", not "Carsland".

The new one almost looks deformed.

    "Floral Clown Mickey."

Add that to the MiceChat Vocabulary Words.

    Next to "Sticky and Friends".

    Re: Floral Mickey Question

Something halfway inbetween the two would be best, I think. The older one is much more "on model" with the classic Mickey design (though, it's still not perfect), but I like the fact that the newer one feels more natural without the hard borders around each of the sections of flowers.

    Re: Floral Mickey Question

Disney Parks Blog posted a video today on the floral Mickey "through the years". Thought it might be interesting to those on this thread. I don't know if you can really go by the dates in the video as "hard evidence" of exact years things changed since it's just a montage, but in the video the eyebrows show up in 2004:

I think the first picture on this thread of the original Mickey didn't really do it justice, since there were really no flowers growing in it. Watching this video and seeing the same Mickey mold filled with flowers makes it look much better, although I think the way they do it now makes the whole thing look more "natural", as Illusion0fLife said. Even though the current design of Mickey's face could use some work...

Are you implying, sir, that Disney Blog is scouring OUR SITE for fresh ideas?

    Re: Floral Mickey Question

I agree with most of the YouTube video comments, the older ones look way better. Gotta wonder if Disney would consider the change back in light of this.
