Re: Non-Disney attractions that belong in Disneyland?

I personally prefer Splash Mountain, but I do adore the rustic, non-movie theme of Knott's flume, as well.

The Calico Mine Train is my favorite attraction at Knotts. I would love to see something like this in Frontierland.

I totally agree about Mystery Lodge. I love that attraction. It has a real feeling of magic and sparkle to it... the sort of thing Disney used to be so good at, but more and more recently they can't seem to get it quite right.

Although I've never been there, it looks like Efteling in the Netherlands has a lot of that magic and charm that the Disney theme parks used to epitomise. Particularly this attraction:

Why is it a shame that Disney didn't get the Potter theme park rights?

Seinfeld. A whole new land based on Seinfeld. Imagine a Kramer omnimover attraction. Oh, and don't forget a Soup Nazi Restaurant. "No soup for you!"

maybe a Ratchet and Clank themed ride for Tomorrowland. They are a really popular Video Game Characters and personally, they are the coolest characters set in space!!!
The new Star Wars plot summery:

Episode 7: Luke discovers that Darth Vader is not his father, and goes on a search for his real father

Episode 8: Darth Vader is resurrected and goes on Jerry Springer, claiming he is Luke and Leia's father

Episode 9: Princes Leia is not Luke's sister, making him furious (we all know why...).

I think Superman the Escape would look great going right down the center of Main Street with its tower rising above the train station so that it is highly visible as one approaches the park.
"You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer."

Montezooma's Revenge would look quite nice too.

No, it's going to be Michael Phelp's Swimming School, with an Olympic size pool and Olympian athletes who train ordinary parkgoers into Olympians. Don't believe me?

    It happened once:

Should Olympian Michael Phelps swim down Disneyland's Main Street? - Around Disney : The Orange County Register

Re: Non-Disney attractions that belong in Disneyland?

So here's an interesting, semi-related question: if Disney had gotten the Potter license, where would you have wanted them to put it?

Disney's Hollywood Studios is the obvious answer, but also kind of a boring answer, at least in my opinion. Fantasyland would make sense, but I'm also sort of dead against having full sections of a Magic Kingdom style park themed to one property (same reason I'm opposed to Tomorrowland becoming Star Wars land). So where else is there?

Fantasyland might have been even more broken down into sublands. That would have been one option, but since there'd be deuling chateaux perhaps Studios would have been the only fit. But perhaps Studios would have received a DCAzation with upgrades to bring the rest of the park up to standard.

Re: Non-Disney attractions that belong in Disneyland?

I honestly feel like Potter wouldn't have really fit at any of the existing parks really naturally. I feel like in order for Disney to have done it right they would have needed to make it a part of a 5th park at WDW. Given the state of WDW right now, though, that's terribly unrealistic and a 5th park should be the last of their priorities.
