ORDDU: That picture has to be worth a lot of money!
What an amazing photo. I love it!
Princess of Agrabah and Queen of Never Land
I love seeing what people use to wear to the parks back in the day. Sometimes I wish it was still like that today
Awesome picture!
Thanks much. I always love seeing candid photos of our Unca Walt. Dig those crazy eyeglasses!

Someone browses Reddit. But really, its an awesome picture and I think anyone can agree that meeting him would have been amazing.
As I recall from MiceChat threads a few years ago that cited weather-history sources which I can't find at the moment, it was only in the 80s in Los Angeles on opening day. The "merciless heat wave on Disneyland's opening day," claiming temperatures of 100 to 110 degrees, is an urban myth that has been repeated endlessly in print and online.

This says 80 or so and it stayed similar the whole week.
edit: re: kid in bottom right. Is that what strollers looked like back then?
What a cool picture! Thanks for sharing![]()
I really like all the outfits, but the older girl on the right is just too cute! The hair, the outfit, the glasses; love it! Wish I could pull off something like that, but...yeah, not happening![]()
I totally agree. I wish that Disney had a dress code.

At first I didn't think that this could be the first week Disneyland was open because the Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship didn't open until Aug. 29, but upon closer inspection of the ship I saw all the scaffolding so opening week is very viable. Great picture, thanks for sharing.
