    DLR-RELATED ARTWORK: My digital painting of the Carthay Circle Theatre

    A digital painting (in Photoshop) of the Carthay Circle, as seen from the edge of Cars Land. Based on a photo I took during my most recent trip last December. It had rained earlier in the day and there were some nice dramatic clouds in the backdrop. I really like the choice of this theatre as the icon of BVS. It has a sort of castle-spire like quality while also looking very Californian.

    I also did a version with my albatross superheroine character Pratfall posing on top of it:

    I thought it would make a good backdrop for Hollywood-based, 1920's/30's-loving Pratfall, I wanted to try doing a pic where one of my characters was seen from a distance instead of taking up 90% of the frame.
