    <----See my avatar. Yes, I remember VMK and yes, I still miss it terribly. I would be over the moon if they ever brought it back, provided that it was still free (unlikely) and that it still maintained the charm of the original.

    I loved VMK... I still use my VMK username on all of my online accounts. It really captured the magic of Disney. I still keep in touch with some of my friends from the game.
    I would definitely play it again if it returned.

    Vmk was my everything back in the day. My cousin and I would sit around for hours playing it.

    I think Disney kind of blew it with VMK. It was a well designed system that they could have used to trap kids as their preferred social networking platform before they had a chance of flowing into something more complex (like Facebook). There was a lot of money to be made of VMK, but whoever was in charge at Disney had no idea what they had in place. Look at the volume of money that is being made by Farmville-type games on Facebook right now.

    I never played the game but I was assigned to mod the VMK section of the site when we had it. It was an interesting time and an interesting game, thats for sure. And even though I never played it, I still have a lot of crazy memories from it.

    There's been a project to re-open VMK in the works for a few years. I believe it's called OpenVMK or something like that.

    I was CheshireCatJames in VMK. I spent more hours sinking ships in POTC than I can even count. I would be back in a heartbeat if they re-opened it, but it is not gonna happen. Much as it pains me to say it, being a Disney geek and all, the fact that they closed it and kept it closed in spite of the rather LOUD outcry from the players just shows how dreadfully out of touch with the audience the suits are these past few years.

    That "project" is one high school kid, working after school, who has taken the ripped parts of the VMK client, and reconstructing it with incompatible software. It's not authorized by Disney in any way.

    I LOVED VMK. Seriously one of the best games on the internet. That would rock if they brought it back.

    VMK was my life. D:
    I remember getting up early so I could be online when it opened to get the high score Fireworks items. . .

    I then tried filling the void with Virtual Family Kingdom. It just doesn't have the charm and it loads super slow D;
