This is an early engineering model but the peoplemover track (in yellow) is in the correct location. You might be able to see it from the initial left turn you make coming out of the first lift hill (look to the right side & below you) however the best view is probably from turns 6 & 8 (start counting after the second lift hill (the one where you hear the launch countdown over the speakers). Here's a video I used to count the turns.

There are a few ideas flying around out there as to why the track is still standing. I would venture to guess money is one of those things, as well as the fact that the track is intertwined in almost every part of the land. Removing it, even if only small parts at a time, would be huge task.

I am thinking that if it's going down, it will be happen whenever this new "Tomorrowland makeover" happens.

Seems possible to catch a glimpse of it but I know I'd probably lose track of when to look.

I actually did get to walk on the track once, but it was not neat. I had the misfortune of getting stuck on the Peoplemover along with a toddler and a very pregnant sister. The young ladies ahead of us decided to throw something on the track to see what would happen. The whole ride immediately shut down. Because they couldn't find the object on the track They made us walk back to the gate single file. The open air area of the track was slippery and terrifying. Although I love and miss that ride, I understand why CalOsha had problems with it. And yes before you ask last time we went to WDW, we all rode the Peoplemover and loved it.

The probably feel there isn't much reason to. Why spend the time/money/effort to remove the Rocket Rods tracks from the platforms when the platforms themselves will still be staying up?

I don't see why they would do this.

Very Depressing. I haven't made it to DL since before this update gone bad took place. What you will hear allot of us say is how there was much energy to Tomorrowland before this rennovation took place. You had the movement of the people mover, rockets and the skyway all intertwined. At night is was awesome.. It looks stale and cold now. Magic Kingdom Fl, still brings it with the synergy in their variation of TL. I hope the imagineers are working over time for a fix for this defunct area.

You can also see some of the Peoplemover track from the Tomorrowland Monorail station and the monorail coming into TL.

Has anyone here seen the track in Buzz? I just read that apparently right after you exit the tunnel if you turn around and look up it runs above it. But then again I've also heard that it's covered by two panels with planets painted on them so who knows

As they are still their, then it should be brought back
The new Star Wars plot summery:

Episode 7: Luke discovers that Darth Vader is not his father, and goes on a search for his real father

Episode 8: Darth Vader is resurrected and goes on Jerry Springer, claiming he is Luke and Leia's father

Episode 9: Princes Leia is not Luke's sister, making him furious (we all know why...).
