    Lightbulb New(ish) Fantasyland Trash Cans

You know, those new castle-themed trash cans they put in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle?

Here's a photo from DaddyB's latest Visions Fantastic photo update:

    http://www.visionsfantastic.org/dadd..._16_Update.htm

While many people liked them, a lot of folks seemed to think it was a little much. But today I realized these trash cans may be a throwback to the past.

    Remember this photo?

We've all seen it before, a very Disney-press photo. And a good photo at that. But look here in the bottom left (and right) hand corners. It's the trash can!

Not exactly the same trash can of course, but you've got to admit it's pretty darn close. Too much to be a coincidence.

So, Disney is definately making an effort to have some throwbacks to the Walt Disney days. Think us Disney fans wouldn't notice? Not a chance.

Yes, back in the day when "themed" trash cans meant more than just being painted a different color. I love those castle cans.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

They put them way to close to the bench seats though, IMO.

    Love em!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Not my cup of tea, but since we didn't notice them on Saturday I guess they aren't too bad. I like the idea of them being close to the benches, makes it harder for people sitting there to ignore them.

They are not too very new, I think they made their debut last Spring. I figured, when I saw them that they were a throwback, they look very classic not to mention that no other trashcans are really themed so differently (except for TSI) and since there weren't any other new trashcans anywhere else I just figured that this was the beginning of a return of themed trashcans from the olden days.... still waiting on all the other ones though...

With all this talk of "off the shelf" and "on the back-burner" it seems the only thing that DCA is really missing is the kitchen sink!

I believe WDW has 2 outside of Cinderella's Castle as well.. (painted to theme with WDW) I think the idea is try new ideas.. see if people even use them.. lol if so, we might see more unique.
