Congratulations on becoming a Mommy! Now you need a whole new list of things to do with your child for the first time and watching their faces light up from the magic of it all. Those are some of the best moments at Disneyland ever.
Thank you! I seriously cannot WAIT to bring a kiddo with me to Disneyland. I can't even imagine how magical it will be!!! Just a few more years for that post... haha
Unless it's an extra long gestation, you don't have to necessarily wait that long. I took all of my children as babies. True, they can't do everything. And true, they won't really remember the early trips, but it's still memories for you and your husband. You may just have to enjoy other aspects of the park, such as peaceful walks along Rivers of America with the stroller, and window shopping on Main Street, listening to music, enjoying the shade under a tree. Just please, don't hit too many people's ankles with the stroller.
I would like to take them as a baby, but seeing as how we're out of state, trips get really expensive. We may just take a mommy and daddy only trip, or maybe get my parents to go so we can have some time just the two of us or taking turns on rides. I'm sure I'll break down and bring them along if only to document them being there, we'll just have to see how life goes!
I'm putting a cattle guard on my stroller, and hitting all the other stroller pushers who have run me over!
This is a great list Kelly - so many things I never knew about! In all of my trips, I STILL haven't done the Tiki Room. I can't seem to convince my boyfriend to get in there - any pointers? I've also (shamefully) never done Casey Jr or the Storybook Canal Boats... Or bought Dole Whip...
I'm so happy you found some things you haven't heard before! It's all thanks to the members in this great community.
Well, my strategy for getting the hubs to go into things he doesn't want to do (luckily he loves the Tiki Room) is to say "Let's just try it once, and if it sucks we won't do it again".
That's how I got him on Casey, Jr. and Storybook Canal Boats. Neither of us enjoyed them very much, but I know some who love it, so it's worth a shot either way!
Dole Whip is really refreshing. If you get one, definitely get it from the Tiki Room side while you're waiting for the show. The line is usually shorter, but you'll also get some distraction from the mini show that occurs in the waiting area before the show begins.
Let me know if you have any more questions!! I know I or any other members who wander through are happy to give advice and opinions!
Whoa, this is quite a list! I skimmed through everything but I'm not sure if this was mentioned (or if you've already done it already), but what about the secret Pet Cemetery at the Haunted Mansion? That's something I've yet to do!
You might've done it already but just in case since not a lot of people do it, but what about the Sleeping Beauty Walkthrough?
Or how about touching the top of the Golden Apple in front of the Snow White attraction and see what happens?
That's all I can think of right now. Hopefully there's at least one thing in my list that you haven't experienced yet. Anyways, have a great trip! Can't wait to hear about it!
You'll have to see about getting the HM Honorary Guest certificate (as posted recently) as well, once it reopens. Unlimited fastpass rides all day on the HM? Heaven.
Peter Pan: "You know, your hair is on fire."
Me: "Yes. It happened after a recent trip to Neverland."
Peter Pan: "Well, you can dunk your head in the pond behind us, if you want."

Actually, I haven't seen the secret pet cemetery! Unfortunately, HM is closed while I'm there due to the holiday overlay. Totally adding that to the list, though, for future use! Thank you!
Kelly I have a story: So I've always wanted to see this mysterious pet cemetery as well and thought that you had to ask a CM to escort you, which isn't the case, you can just wander back by yourself. So on my last trip I made it a point to see this secret location. Anyhow I was with 2 friends who aren't such Disney geeks and we get back there and they said "That's it?" It was a bit disheartening and also it is just a small grassy area so it's not much to expect. I still found it interesting!
