How about these props from a near-future movie be shown in the land that's all about movies - Hollywoodland in DCA? You got the northern half of Hollywoodland with two "modern/sh" buildings ... that could easily be opened to contain all they want .. from Iron Man 3. The Millionaire building, and Hollywood&Dine ... which are currently empty!

I bet you .. this is Iger's way of trying to bring Marvel into Disneyland ... and try to build up over time. And get guests to get use to it.

    Oh sure.

The geeky Marvel fans will surely love it.

AP holders who run to the DLR all the time .. will surely love checking out something new.

So ... that .. along with some other curious Disneyland Guests will come in.

So ... some people decide to show up. Is "some" attendance ... justification to bring on a full-on Marvel onslaught to Disneyland, later??

If this is their way of beginning the process to bring in more, and getting the world-wide Disneyland audience use to this .......

    I'm not fooled.

Give Marvel a place in DCA or a third park.

Give Tomorrowland a chance to be something greater!

You put an Ad on the Map about getting to see props from the movie and for kids to get to put his armor on...and they will come

I wish they would put money toward a more lasting addition/replacement for Innoventions. This is underwhelming for me.

    Fabulous!

Tomorrowland gets more confused all the time.

Talking fish, space ranger toys, sith lords teaching kids Jedi Knight training, 80s redu of a dead singer's show as captain EO .... and now add modern super hero armor to a land more lost, than ever.

I got another idea. Littler kids love banging pots and pans with sauce spoons.

If anything under the sun .. that brings a laugh .. or joy is game ... why not add the Banging Sauce Spoons and Pan Play Area to Tomorrowland. Make them "silver" and "blue" ... so it's just a little thematic tie to Tomorrowland.

Or should I just call it - Miscellaneous Catch All Land ?

    Because that's what it's become.

Honestly, bringing the Stark Expo and Sherman's "Make Way for Tomorrow Today" song to Tomorrowland feels like the most Tomorrowland worthy concept Disney's pitched in years. It celebrates futuristic technology, it has deliberate nods to Walt Disney and the Carousel of Progress, and it ties it in with a popular and enduring character.

Would I rather see something awesome and completely original? Yeah, of course. Who wouldn't? But the reality is, if we're waiting for Iger to give us that we'll be waiting for a long, long time. As far as movie tie-ins go, Stark Industries is, by my estimation, a perfect tenant for a new attraction in Tomorrowland.

So why settle for less? If you want something original why not champion it? Why should you say you want something better but Disney says here is Iron Man and all his underwhelming glory here in Innoventions and accept it? I don't, that's why I am so passionate about certain things in Disneyland. I don't want to accept what Disney is shoving down my gullet because I have seen what Disneyland was once and could become again without all the corporate bullwhacky.

What I really don't understand about the whole State-of-Tomorrowland argument is what people consider futuristic. Iron Man is a huge display of futurism. Everything from jet packs to Jarvis to blasting rays from your body. I do not have the ability, nor does anyone else on this forum (I assume). It may be set in USA 2013, but that by no means implies that it is not a futuristic concept.

It is fake tech - the outdated is what Innoventions predominantly has had the last ten years. I say fake tech because it is in the same category as flying cars and personal robot maids...just a cartoon dream. Never happen in our lifetimes.

Say what you want about Marvel, but this Iron Man 3 set up has already had more buzz and seems to generate more excitement than Fantasy Faire ever did based one what i've seen on the interwebs. I think Tony Stark will definitely be a permanent resident of Disneyland as he should be.

Um, because they need a reason for people to get inside of Innoventions. ASIMO just ain't cutting it anymore. Millionare building is valuable space for private events and Hollywood & Dine is being used for the Mad T Party Arcade.

Exactly, they need to prove to the Disney nay-sayers that they can actually pull off an innovative Iron Man attraction.

Way to think outside of the box. The Marvel fanbase is a bit more than a bunch of geeky fans. Have you visited a Target/WalMart or any department story lately? Each one has a section devoted to Iron Man toys and action figures and of late they've been mostly empty. This meet and greet/area is clearly aimed towards children.

But isn't that the point of Tomorrowland? I'd take some not yet possible technology over the stuff you can get at Best Buy currently in Innoventions.

Because I want Iron Man/The Avengers as well. I actually like the idea of a Star Expo attraction for the Carousel theater quite a bit.

I would like to see an original attraction as well at some point, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for Iger and company to deliver in that category. In the mean time, I'm more than happy to welcome Iron Man and Stark Industries into Tomorrowland, much happier than if there was *another* Star Wars attraction (which is essentially the only other realistic tenant for that space at the moment).

Stark Industries feels like a great fit for Tomorrowland, and I would love to see them move forward with the Iron Man/Avengers attraction.

WDW is still finishing up a huge fantasyland expansion and already beginning prepwork for Avatar at Animal kingdom and setting the stage for a massive DTD expansion. rumors are very strong that a huge overhaul to DHS, along the lines of a DCA style makeover vcould be in the near future as well. It was even the focus of a Miceage article today.

Meanwhile, DLR gets this hunk a junk and a princess meet-n-greet and Disney knows they have to do nothing more than crap like this and DLR passholders will flock to see any new crumb they get in the parks.
If people show up in big numbers for this, Disney will realize they dont have to do anything truly fantastic to this area to increase numbers and guest satisfaction.
Its going to be a mighty boring and slow rest of the decade for DLR.
