Really? You can see into the future?

I haven't been in Innoventions since the nineties. This will get me in there.

Hopefully this is a test to see how people will respond to the idea of Marvel in the parks. As much as some of you may hate the idea of Star Expo in Tomorrowland, the concept is probably the closest to the original idea of Tomorrowland than any of the other current attractions.

Personally, it is a placeholder and to promote the new film. Personally, the building should be reused for a Iron Man attraction. An E ticket for the struggling Tomorrowland
The new Star Wars plot summery:

Episode 7: Luke discovers that Darth Vader is not his father, and goes on a search for his real father

Episode 8: Darth Vader is resurrected and goes on Jerry Springer, claiming he is Luke and Leia's father

Episode 9: Princes Leia is not Luke's sister, making him furious (we all know why...).

It was even the focus of a Miceage article today.

Meanwhile, DLR gets this hunk a junk and a princess meet-n-greet and Disney knows they have to do nothing more than crap like this and DLR passholders will flock to see any new crumb they get in the parks.
If people show up in big numbers for this, Disney will realize they dont have to do anything truly fantastic to this area to increase numbers and guest satisfaction.
Its going to be a mighty boring and slow rest of the decade for DLR.
    Oh how quickly we forget...

Saying that DLR is being neglected is terribly unfair and patently not true. Disney spent the last five years pouring money into DCA transforming what was one of their weakest parks worldwide into something that's overall pretty great. We also got a new Star Tours (which I personally think is a downgrade, but most people love it, so whatever), a wonderfully executed return of the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough, etc.

The funny thing is that most WDW fans are currently complaining about the lack of upkeep and money being spent on infrastructure "improvements" like MyMagic+ rather than maintaining existing attractions or providing new experiences.

The grass truly is always greener...

That's exactly how I feel. Just a cheap gimmick to get guests into a dying attraction. I do not have high expectations for something labeled as an exhibit

The only way to turn Innoventions into a new attraction is by demolishing it and starting over. Not trying to shoehorn a new concept into a building that wasn't designed for it.

It doesnt matter what people are saying or what they think. its about facts.
the DCA remake didnt happen in a vacuum.
At the same time, Disney was building a massive new Hotel resort in WDW, a huge expansion of fantasyland that contains 2 actual disney quality rides and not the 1 e-ticket with 2 carnival rides thrown in that Carsland recieved.

Disneyland resort wasnt the only resort having huge sums of money pumped in.
New DVC resorts and expansions have also been added during DCA's makeover.
CarsLand and BVS are FANTASTIC, however, they simply fix what was wrong to begin with.
Meanwhile, WDW has just finished massive expansion as well, and they are just keeping right on going with even bigger and better projects.
Nobody forgot about the DCA makeover, and now its time to move forward the way WDW and USO are doing.
But DLR gets these little crap fillers.

Last time I checked the actual satisfaction rating for all the new WDW things happening have been nothing short of sub-par; whereas even the "little" things as you call it are getting high marks across the board at Disneyland.

What little crap fillers are you talking about? does ANYONE seriously ever go into innoventions these days? So does it really physically bring you pain and sorrow because they want to bring something in (while they most likely begin to prep and get everything ready for the Stark Expo to be built there) to increase the traffic and allow adults and kids to enjoy a nice little exhibit for Iron Man 3? Look at what the Frankenweenie exhibit did for The Animation Studio while the displays were up, were people running and screaming to city hall to have it taken out? No. Its not like every guest is going to be escorted to innoventions where armed guards will make sure that you spend no less than 60 min inside the building. If you don't like it there is NOTHING stopping you from just ignoring it.

Trust me Disneyland sees a lot more love and care than WDW. Its evident through a lot of articles that have published on this very sight. Give me DLR and our "crap fillers" any day over what WDW has to offer

For me, I'm glad for this. Its finally something I can take my male child to. I told him about this and he said "way cool!" and was excited.

Carsland isn't the only new thing we've gotten at DLR. We've gotten plenty in the recent DCA makeover like Buena Vista Street, WOC and the rest of the Paradise pier overhaul including one of those disney quality rides you were speaking of . Just because disney hasn't announced anything for DLR doesn't necessarily mean they don't have something up their sleeves. I wouldn't call one land consisting mostly of princesses compared to Transformers, the Harry Potter expansion, the Simpsons expansion, and a despicable me attraction moving forward....just my 2 cents.

Well, promoting a film with a minor attraction is not new at Disney. I think it is possibly amusing for 20 minutes to see what is inside. I don't see anyone making a special trip to Disneyland to see it. This walk through sounds temporary and should last a few months. I don't see it delaying or replacing a new, much more thrilling attraction/experience in the future.

I didn't say that WDW was moving forward with the Fantasyland expansion. They are moving forward because they haven't even finished yet and are already beginning massive new projects.
of course the fantasyland satisfaction numbers aren't where they want them to be. They haven't even opened the biggest ride in the expansion yet.
Im not criticizing what is in DLR or the quality. It is stellar. I love the DLR. I want to be able to take my family on vacations to the resort.
However, if DLR just stands pat for the next few years, which means nothing of significance would show up for at least 6 or 7 years, which looks like what is happening, there is know way I could justify taking a trip out there with everything that will be added in WDW and USO in the next 5 years.

We just got done with a massive project 10 months ago...There's no need to jump on project after project at DLR. II feel the reason why WDW is doing multipule projects because it's very competition heavy over there. You have Universal with their multipule expansions, Sea World with Antarctica, and Legoland with world of Chima. WDW needs to keep up, DLR doesn't. A resort doesn't need to keep pushing out project after project to remain entertaining, DLR is doing just fine, for now. As I said before, just because nothing has been announced yet doesn't mean they don't have something planned

Quality over quantity, I'd say. I'd much rather have a really great addition every few years than a rushed, lackluster addition every year.

These projects take time and money. You can't expect a new Cars Land every year.

Who expects a CarsLand every year?
You are hearing what you want to hear and not what I am saying.
If you have actually seen the Fantasyland expansion you would know that it is absolutely gorgeous and the themed Mermaid exterior makes DCA's look like a strip mall exterior.
There is nothing weak about it and particularly when the 7 Dwarves coaster opens. It realy looks like its going to be a realy fun ride and the theming is first rate.
I am sure Avatar will be extremely well themed as well as the CarsLand for DHS or Pixar Land with RSR and possible rumored Monsters coaster.
You keep making arguments that wood make sense excepts that your reasoning is false.

Was Harry Potter lackluster, the new Transformers or do you think the new expanded Potter Land will be?

It isnt about fighting competition for DLR, its about expanding into a new era as an actual destination vacation resort for more than a handfull of tourists west of the Rockies.
Which would, in turn, make the resort that much better for locals as well.

The truth is, having to fix DCA probably set the resort back decades. If DCA had been a success from the get go, Im sure we would have seen expansion by now.

Im just not so sure that the big investment put into DCA was a hint at Disneys plan for the future of the resort, as much as it was needed to fix a source of embarressment for the company.
Just look at the decision not to go with the MAJOR retheming to the DL Hotel, no interest in purchasing GardenWalk at a ridiculously low price, no new hotels or expansion plans for DTD. The decision to build a parking lot on what was supposed to be future resort development land.
I think they might be done spending money, of any substance, on the resort as long as this crew is in charge of Disney.

TDA doesnt even have the forward looking attitude that USO has and is definitely in the process of being passed by as the 2nd most important theme park resort in America. I know it doesnt seem like that to the SoCal locals, but it is true in most of the country.
    That is a shame.
