Re: Al Lutz: Jungle Cruise Avatar Makeover

I think it goes without saying that every attraction should receive an Avatar overlay like this. Totally awesome news! I can't wait!!!

this ride actually sounds interesting.. not in place of JC, BUT somewhere in AK or anywhere else. I know it's an April Fool's joke but it's not a totally bad concept as its own ride build from the ground up, and not replacing anything.

That was a good one! I was having heart palpitations until I realized the date. Now I've got a big smile on my face.

My only concern? That somewhere a 'suit' from TDA is lurking & madly scribbling notes!!! Yikes !

But, as we well know, it will look great but the story will suck.

Strangely enough though, I did have a dream a couple years back about the Jungle Cruise turning into an Avatar-based attraction during the second portion of the attraction (from Schweitzer Falls on). I woke up pissed off and frightened. Luckily it's not happening!
Well, at Disneyland, all your dreams come true...

Excellent joke, as I fell for it for a while. The whole time I was reading, I thought the company has lost its mind. Totally forgot it was April Fool's today!

I would've rather gone for Disney's Casino Adventure and Waltmart, but that's just my opinion. Ah Waltmart. Still thinking about those coin-operated attractions!

    Happy April Fool's everybody!

That's 'cause imagineers don't pull people's wallets out of their pockets when they lose. Beancounters are known to do that.

They are thinking about a putting in an Avatar boat ride in Avatarland. That would be one way to build elaborate props that guests wouldn't be able to touch.

The first paragraph sounded VERY authentic (and I wouldn’t be surprised if THAT wasn’t true). However, when Disneyland was added to the picture, it totally fell apart.
If you had stopped with something like “Iger has decided to cancel the Avatar project altogether”, I would have been completely fooled (unless, of course. it were TRUE).

I wouldn't be too upset if this was the actual ride concept for the one in AK, it sounded very interesting.
    Fear of the unknown.

They are afraid of new ideas.

They are loaded with prejudices, not based upon any reality, but based on… if something is new, I reject it immediately because it’s frightening to me. What they do instead is just stay with the familiar.
You know, to me, the most beautiful things in all the universe, are the most mysterious.
