I've noticed you always have killer nails, actually!
Sorry, this got drug out a little longer than I intended!
First, I meant to include this in my trader Sam's section, I was looking around at the decor and noticed this:
It made me very happy.
So before we headed back to DCA we swung through PFF to try one of their new snack items, the garlic bagel twist.
It was meh. I wouldn't pay for it again, very plain. I plan to try the chocolate or strawberry one next time to see if they're any better.
Next we headed to DCA to mark some more things off of my To Do List. I have not done any of the attractions in Bug's Land with the exception of "It's Tough to be a Bug", so we got in line for Heimlich's Chew Chew Train.
I just love the theming in this land.
Our train arrived.
We boarded (I asked for the back seat... the CM gave me a weird look but obliged)
I have to admit I was somewhat excited about this ride because I had read that they pump scents out of the foods you pass by.
Mmm Candy Corn. Too bad I couldn't smell it! In fact, we noticed no smell except for apple. We were pretty disappointed.
We decided to leave the rest of the Bugs Land rides for another day as they all had somewhat of a wait and we were running out of time. We headed over to the other side of the park in search of food for dinner. I grabbed a corn dog from Corn Dog Castle, and my husband grabbed his favorite pasta dish from Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta.
My corn dog had an interesting shape to it. Still tasted great, though!
As we were making our exit, we saw Jumping Jellyfish had no wait, so we decided to mark one more item off my list before heading out to catch our flight.
I had a lot of fun taking pictures of this attraction.
I chose our jellyfish based on which I thought might provide a nice view. There was no great view to speak of, but my jellyfish was pretty!
And that ends our Easter Day trip.
Thanks to those of you who have stuck with me through my tale! I may add some pictures of the souvenirs I grabbed, mostly because I love seeing what other buy on their trips. :)
Stuffy noses are a curse when riding Heimlich's Chew Chew Train.
We didn't have stuffy noses! Promise! And normally I have an over sensitive nose lol
The apple smell was really potent. I was hoping the others would be as well. Maybe we hit it on a bad day.
Here are the pins I got on this trip:
And here are my nails just to show how hey matched my face paint! :p
And yeah, they're messy. They always are until I clean them up the next day. I have a weird process for doing my nails lol.
I didn't match the painting to them on purpose! They had those colors as the example painting and I asked to do the same colors on the example. I didn't even notice it matched until I mentioned it on here. :))
Oh that corn dog looks so good! Sorry about the Heimlich chew chew train! Definately ride it next time,it usually has amazing scents, in fact it always make me hungry. I also have a random question: do you have to stay on property to access monorail? Our next trip I think we are going to try an off property hotel but my son loves the monorail, so if we can't ride it I need to prepare him! Lol.
No, anyone can access the monorail! Well, anyone with a ticket, I think, since it goes into the park. We almost always stay off property and use it all the time. :)
Phew!!! That's good news and will save us a ton of money!
