This past Saturday we were at the park to take in some of Disney's Easter festivities. We're big fans of Halloween and Christmas decorations, and we're hoping to find something equally awesome for Easter. And while the decorations are certainly not as...extensive...as they are for those holidays, they were no less wonderful. The beautiful weather wound up making for a great day and some great scenery. Check these out.
Our day started with the Town Square. Already we're in awe of how beautiful things can be with added perspective.
We always stop at The Market House for coffee, and today was no exception. This may be the last photos we personally every get to take of the place.
Down Main Street and over to the Hub. Disneyland makes exceptional use of seasonal color, don't you think? It makes for beautiful pictures.
We caught some princesses too. I was taken by both of these ladies. I'm certain I took at least a hundred pictures of these two.
Now be prepared to say "awwwww" because Mickey, Minnie, and the Easter Bunny are about to break open a can of cute on everyone.
I kid you not, when I saw Mickey and Minnie come out in their Easter outfits, I was beside myself with excitement. They looked great. We took a quick detour to take part in the Easter Egg hunt over at Redwood Creek Challenge with Russell and Mr. Frederickson. It was actually a lot of fun.
And finally, for the main attraction, the Bunny Hop. Words cannot describe just how terrific this short little event was. It was about 10 or 15 minutes total. The Disney Rabbits, Mickey, Minnie, and The Dapper Dans took a leisurely stroll around Town Square, then did the bunny hop on Main Street right along side any and all guests who chose to dance with them. It was awesome, and pure chaos, and a terrific move on Disney's part. Any time you can let guests interact like this with characters etc is a huge win.
And so ends our quick look at Easter Disneyland style for 2013. Hope you guys like the photos. It was a ton of fun being there capturing the day. Looking back on it now, this ranks as one of my best Disney days in recent memories.
