And the Santa Ana ROW is among the projects on the horizon.

I think you have your finger on the pulse of what will happen with regional rail in the future. As Disneyland Resort continues to develope as a multi-national vacation destination, it will not be able to avoid being highly popular with those traveling from various far reaching counties to DLR via connecting with Anaheim trolleys.

Wonderful! Have they already started to build Santa Ana ROW?

No but they own a RIGHT OF WAY between Downtown LA and Santa Ana. Perhaps that line could terminate at ARTIC.

That sounds like a doable idea. Perhaps it would prove worthwile to get word to them via a letter to them and/or letters to newspaper editors, or perhaps public comment at public meetings.

It's #12 on the list ( Here Are SoCal's 40 Planned Transportation Projects ) posted at: Mass Transit 2 the Disneyland Resort
    Post # 1281.

It's on the radar, but so far not budgeted.

    WEST SANTA ANA CORRIDOR NEWS:

The West Santa Ana Transit Corridor is a railroad right-of-way (ROW) that extends for approximately 20 miles between the City of Paramount in Los Angeles County and the City of Santa Ana in Orange County. The railroad corridor was once part of the Pacific Electric (PE) Railway, or Red Car system that provided mass transit service to Southern California from 1901 to 1961. Metro purchased the Los Angeles portion of the corridor which is referred to as the West Santa Ana Branch in the 1990s. Much of the corridor has been abandoned and is not currently used for mass transit purposes. The Measure R sales tax measure that was approved by the voters of Los Angeles County in November 2008 provided $240 million match towards the corridor’s total project cost.

Well then, maybe it's day will come. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to contact them to urge that it be placed higher on the list.

We may have a High Speed Rail connection between Anaheim and LA before the West Santa Ana light rail happens. That would require OCTA and the LA MTA cooperate and divide the expense of building or operating it.

Go trolley, go!....by golly! The city planning authorities likely are connecting the aesthetic appeal of the trolley's contributing significantly to the overall entertainment venue experience, which would translate into more revenue for the city (and more profits for Disney and other businesses.

That's good with me. What ever gets us to the light rail! OCTA and LA MTA would likely be pressured to cooperate.
