Re: Electronic Cigaretes - Vaping at Disneyland

I guess I'm glad I never started. I'm not saying this to brag or seem above anyone. It just that by going by some of what I am reading, it seems to be a hassle. Whether for the electronic one or the real thing.

No, not really. No more dangerous than the gas inhaled while driving through Autopia (which actually is MORE harmful than E-cigs), or common chemicals found in children's breakfast cereal.

TBH, artificial flavors are in "too numerous to count" items in everyday food items.

Auto needs to go or be changed to avoid poisoning guests, cast, and theme, but that's a whole nother story.

And yet again...........people can choose to avoid a single attraction, or to avoid eating a given food. If people were allowed to vape anywhere in the parks, that would be more like the entire resort being one big Auto, or like shoving those cereals down every guest's throat.

Disney needs to buy Toyota and replace every Autopia car with a Prius. But with recent issues and the way people drive even those dumb Disney cars, its probably not a good idea!

Or any other area of the parks that have smoke effects. I bet if you look around there are warning signs that say the words that are one the sign below. The vapor in the E-cigs is the same method used in many of the smoke machines theme parks use. Not all e-cigs even have nicotine in them. I'd be more scared of diet soda drinks as they are chemical experiments.

Re: Electronic Cigaretes - Vaping at Disneyland

Why should i have to be forced to go to a smoking section and breath second hand SMOKE when im using a NONsmoking product. That is the whole reason i switched to an e cig. To avoid the much worse chemicals contained in a cigarette. They either create a vaping section or ill use mine freely to the side. In line is plain rude. But to the side i feel is fine. Those who complain about 2nd hand vapor are a joke. It is gone within 1 to 2 seconds. Long before your lungs could get the chance to inhale any of it. They state its a non smoking park and i am not smoking. End of story. People are just bitter and want to fight the fact smokers found a decent alternative/loophole. Let it go and accept its a much healthier alternative. i swear i feel like peoples egos are hurt or something. Times are moving along.. you should be happy when u see someone using one..it means there is one less smoker. Like many said no worse than most effects attractions contain.

I'll just vape until security tells me to go to a smoking section.
Obviously I wouldn't do this in lines or in a building

Vape's don't look like cigarettes at all but e-cigs do

Why should you go to a smoking section? Because those are the rules, thats why. Unless of course you feel that the rules don't apply to you. FYI, people have been banned from the park for not following the rules.

Re: Electronic Cigaretes - Vaping at Disneyland

I just vape until security tells me to go to a smoking section, where I then apologize and politely agree with him or her.

I then ignore them completely and just go somewhere private, there's plenty of hide-a-ways around the parks

I don't do this to be a jerk, but I vape now to avoid cigarette smoke (and second hand smoke)

Obviously I wouldn't do this in lines or in a building

people are rarely banned from Disneyland, even people who steal aren't banned they're just kicked out for the remainder of the business day.

You have to understand that people who Vape and go to the Resorts (for the most part, and especially if they' hare on here) understand the rules, but they vape to avoid the hazardous chemicals that come with smoking and second hand smoke, going into the smoking sections and vaping would be pointless.

Rarely is not never. And yes, people have been banned from the park. Continued abuse of the rules will result in banisment. My first time in the park was 1962, I installed Atari Adventure Arcade in 1982, that was a WED/Atari project. I have park history and understand all to well.

After our continued abuse of rules, things like eating at Club 33 and telling them to put it on the bill, because we were Atari and not Disney, they made us Imagineeers so we would have to follow rules. That meant no more free meals at Club 33, until the project was completed and open for business.

One other thing, people smoke e-cigs to quit smoking the real thing. I have never known a non smoker to just up and start smoking e-cigs. Also, cigarette smokers are not concerned with second hand smoke!

So, the rules don't apply to you. Another representation of our "ME" society today.
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.
