    A nice surprise!

Today I went to my eye specialist and of course we go to talking about Disneyland. When he working on my eye he hit the button too far and my seat reclined at an accelerated rate. I told him geez I felt like I was on a Disneyland attraction. He told the technician to get me a E-ticket so I can ride it again. I laughed and said that showed his age. He asked me if I was even old enough to know what a E-ticket was I told him no but I knew what they were. Then he pulled out a ticket book and asked me what year it was from. I asked him to see it and I thumbed through it and told him it was from the range of 1977 to 1979. He was amazed I could even guess that. So I simply told him the easiest clue was that Space Mountain was listed and BTMRR was not. Also the attraction being replaced (Mine train through nature's wonderland) wasn't there as well. So then to my surprise he gave me the booklet. I was so happy he said that I would appreciate it way more than him. So here you go the pictures. Anyone know the exact year it's from? No where on it does it have a date.

Wow that's really cool!!! Are all the tickets there? I believe a full ticket book is pretty valuable.

Sorry, I'm of no help on what year it's from, but just wanted to say that is REALLY neat!! I love when Disney magic spills out into unexpected places.

I don't think there is anyway to get an exact date on the ticket book. It would of had to of been after 1977, since Space Mountain is on it. Disney stopped using the ticket books in 1982, so it could be from 1977 up to that year. I don't recall a lot of changes happening in the park that 5 or so years that could tag this exactly, but perhaps someone else with more detailed knowledge could be more precise.

I have to agree with Biggsworth, it's 77-79 range. BTMRR would be on there by the last 3 months of 79 so it's pretty clear.

Also agreed that it's interesting to see what qualified as an E ticket. It's A Small World? Really? Tiki Room? Country Bear Jamboree? I would have placed those as D or C. How unfortunate the A was used, I would have been curious what qualified as those.

I seem to recall that an A ticket was mostly Main Street things like the vehicles that go up and down from the flagpole to the hub, and maybe the Main Street Cinema.

Ok, so all the Fantasyland dark rides were C tickets, but Alice was a B ticket?? What's up with that? And the teacups and Dumbo were a C but not Alice?? Weird.

Anyway, thanks for sharing the photos. A great piece of Disney history.

I also like how after Snow White it says ( Scary) and on Space Mountain it states it;s a roller coaster type ride but not on Matterhorn.
