How Much Would It Be To Build a Life-Size Prop Replica of a Nature's Wonderland Train

The question arises from some Google Picture browsing. I was looking for very small locomotives for a reference picture for something and when I came across this, a thought popped into my head. How much would it cost to build a life sizedprop replica version of one of these mine trains from Nature's Wonderland? Building a working one would be too expensive and rather complex. I mean I could almost see it now. Use some very cheap wood for the cab, cheap but durable and strong metal for the wheels and chassis, and possibly even thick plastic for the main body and other metalwork that isn't holding the whole thing up. Then slap a coat of paint and some varnish for a shine onto it to make it seem like the real thing. All one has to have is the money, the materials, and the know-how/friends who know the know-how.

Your thoughts on it? I would personally try to do it, but I have neither the space, time, money, or know-how. But the idea of doing it is still a pleasurable one.

You would probably need to ask some people involved in the live steam hobby. They would know how to make a non operational replica probably, yet they would also probably have the know how to make a functional one.

According to my calculations, the correct answer is $7,532,967.32 (give or take a few cents).
