Re: Name one thing you wish Walt could see today

I believe that Walt CAN see everything that's been going on, from his golden Disneyland in the sky. But I wish we knew his feedback and his take on things. I think there are very many things he would really appreciate. But whose to say. The park was very different in that time and things have changed greatly over the years. With progression comes change, it's only natural. That being said, I can't imagine he'd disagree too much with the progression that's taken place. I wish he could have physically seen some projects completed. And I honestly think he'd be really proud that his park is still doing so well and is still the cleanest theme park there is! Which was one of his many goals for Disneyland.

I believe Walt is truly present, in spirit, everyday at Disneyland and he is very pleased with what has been done. I could totally picture him watching Fantasmic and saying in awe, "gee, some imagination huh!"

But what would I like to show him? I think that the attractions that he had a part in but did not get to see, so I would like to show him Pirate, HM, and Space Mountain.
And yet I think he'd be proud that those things that he had inspired were standing the test of time. Considering the fact that so many thought Disneyland would fail, he proved everyone wrong. And here we are in 2013. And so much of the old Disneyland is still present and accounted for.
I also remember watching a video of Disneyland's history and they talked about how when they looked at Hong Kong Disneyland (I think it was), they realized just how much it looked like the original.
That tells you that Walt had it right. And I think he'd be happy to see that, what with international presence of his park, they still look so much like the original and some even still attempt to embody something that brings edutainment into the equation. Something he found important. It wasn't just about movies.
