Today was my 50th visit with my current pass and I wanted to make it special. I recently had knee surgery and just started walking again so my mobility is limited but I have really wanted to go on the Lilly Belle so my first stop around 10am was to Main Street station and they still had seats, so I got my spot for 3:30 and headed over to see if Space was up, which it wasn't, so I went in Star tours and got 3 of my favorite segments!
I then left for physical therapy and lunch then headed back in time to see the train pull up, with the Lilly Belle in tow! I then checked in, got my ticket and waited! There were 10 of us on the train and our CM was super nice and funny, but I would have loved to hear more history. It was just a brief overview that lasted until NOS then people just chatted. I loved just taking in the park from such a special place!
After disembarking I headed over to DCA to avoid the parade and decided to visit the Animation Building since I hadn't been there in years. I found out I'm most like Mrs. Incredible or if bad, the Evil Queen. I then saw turtle talk which was really cool!
I ended the day with dinner at Carthay Circle Lounge with a Rose Petal Soda and Duck Confit sliders, which were delicious!
It was a slow, low key day but I really enjoyed my 50th visit and will be sad when my pass expires in May! I hope you enjoy the picture and if you ever want to try for the Lilly Belle, get there early and give it a shot!
