I also think it's unfair for the grads. That's really messed up of Disney.

So someone clarify this for me - is the 24-hr shindig only open to APs or is it open to the general public? Has there been mention of a reservation or ticket system?

I was at the 24 hr event on Leap Year 2012 and I barely made it into the park before it got ridiculous on surface streets. After 3 am or so there was no hope - it was just madness.

TDA better have their game together on this one. I doubt Disney Management brass or the City of Anaheim will tolerate a repeat episode of what happened last year.

i doubt city of anaheim would care....it is bringing in tons of people to anaheim to spend money....its all about the $$$$$$$$$$...they will probably have traffic officers to direct traffic....

i believe this event is opened to AP and general public.......

the leap year was ridiculous....we ended up going around 4am...it was easy to get into the parking structure, but we didnt get to go on that many rides....

we were checking times on mouse wait and checking friend's statuses on facebook....glad we played it safe...

they chose the worst weekend to put it on....memorial day weekend where they have a ton of people already coming to the park....it should be during a weekday and not near a major holiday......

i wish this was only open to APs......their AP events are lagging

Yeah, that and combining it with Grad Nite does seem like kind of a boneheaded move, at least from a guests perspective. Someone at TDA is probably trying to keep overtime hours on the payroll to a minimum by combining events.

No word yet on anything free for the first people through the gate? The free hats for Leap Day caused (relative) crowds around the 6AM opening and seemed to justify it from a marketing perspective.

Wow, sucks to be the Seniors attending Gradnite. This would be like throwing a party with your friends and everyone's parents showing up.

I agree. It was kinda wrong of them to stick the party the same day as a Grad Nite, but I guess what's done is done...

On the other hand, it doesn't seem like they can kick the Grad Niters out at 3 AM like usual so for that one night only it will be like Grad Nites of old that lasted until sunrise.

I'd suggest staying put in whichever park you find yourself at sun down. Crossing over will be a nightmare. I can't imagine what it will look like when they have to close both gates. Last year was fine during the day...just a normal day. It being grad/memorial day weekend/Friday....RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! That being said...I'll be there!

And so most of the CMs I have chatted with are heading for the hills and all requesting the day/night/event off. Do I dare lose my sanity to another 24 hour event? hate to say it but money is the motivation in everything here...including me considering to work it...

    ...As I see it

This event sounds like a lose-lose-lose-lose situation all around. Only those who feel a need to be a part of the event and have the energy to do so could find it of any value.

I didn't attend last year's leap year event but I'm going this time. I'm expecting insanity but I think it will still be fun. I can't wait!

We have been going to Disneyland at Memorial Day weekend, so this would be something to consider. I think the days are Friday and Saturday, of if that's true, then we can still attend on the Sunday or even on Monday. So, it'll work out.

I'm definitely going since I missed out last year. Who doesn't want to wait 4 hours for a churro
