    April 21-25

Planned this trip for a year.
Was very happy and excited to go.
    Just got back last night.
Instead of giving a detailed account of our trip, I will sum it up as follows:

Disney. We will never go back!

To think I was looking forward to viewing a 4 day Trip Report.

Welcome to Micechat. It is obvious that you did not have a stellar time. Not much we can do about that now. What we can do is lend an ear, hopefully sympathetic. You have come to the prime place to vent on all things Disney, from minutiae to corporate ongoings. If you so desire, feel free to expound on your ordeal. It is a good thing to let out all this out.

From how it looks you're going to have to change that screen name.

No, we're very happy to be home.

Disneyland is not the same happy place now that it was seven years ago at our last visit.
When we left Disneyland that last time, we didn't want to.
We dreamed of when we could go back.
This time we couldn't get the hell out of there fast enough,
and I now fully understand why so many people I know in Idaho are former Californians.

And I would like to reiterate, Disney!

What caused you to leave "the Happiest Place on Earth". What took away from your experience?

    Re: April 21-25

    From my own experience, let me guess;

    1) A friggin TON of money was paid to get there and especially to get in.

    2) The crowds were HUGE!! I'd bet that you waited in line more than 3/4 of the entire visit.

    3) Food and merchandise were REALLY expensive.

Because of the above, most all of the magic has disappeared.

I went to DL a lot during the late 70s and early 80s. Then not again until Sept 2005. Tons of fun! I went several times a year after that, but because of the expense, and mostly , the huge crowds, I go only once a year these days.

It's too bad, DL used to be an absolutely magical place; a place where I could act like a 12 year-old and get away with it. These days, it's overpacked to the point that it's a lot less fun than it used to be.

I have a motto for myself when I go on vacation. If I don't have a good time, it is my own fault.

    It has never failed me.

Obviously it doesn't work for everyone.

A detailed account would certainly give your statement more credit.

Sorry you had such a bad time. Due to crowds and such Disney trips require a lot of planning (especially for those of us who travel far to get to it). I hope you give it another try
