    Question Free Admission For Life

I heard a rumor that if you were born inside Disneyland that Disney would give you free admission for life. I am pretty sure they don't do this but it would be interesting.

Kelly!!! KELLY!! Now you know what you HAVE to do in several months.
Peter Pan: "You know, your hair is on fire."
Me: "Yes. It happened after a recent trip to Neverland."
Peter Pan: "Well, you can dunk your head in the pond behind us, if you want."

Ha! Parents and the siblings would still need to purchase their entrance, I assume.

Sounds like a good business plan for them, overall, no?

Yes you heard something that is a rumor, not actual policy.

I know at least one girl has a red main gate admission pass for being born inside Disneyland.

Last I heard, there was a specific category to look her up by in one of the ticketing system. Been a year or two since then.

Wouldn't call it policy, but it can and does happen.

If this is a policy, it seems to encourage the wrong kind of behavior.

I have no idea if it's true. But this rumor dates back at least 30 years.

Rumor. And Disney tries to discourage it (much like the "Andy's Coming" nonsense) to prevent women near term from attending the resort with the intention of giving birth.

But like all rumors, there is a grain of truth. Apparently in 1979 a woman did go in to unexpected labor and deliver on the property. Several weeks later she was presented with a Disney Birth Certificate Number One.

Not to mention the occasional health hazard.

My guess is it was probably a one-time thing, otherwise this sounds like it would just be begging for Disney anchor babies!
