I'll tell you I get my most hated sequence a lot...Wookies and Gungans...the beginning and transmission don't matter to me...

Haha but yeah I've gotten my favorite before (just not as much as I'd want to) which is Storm Troopers, Tatooine, Ackbar (I guess), and Coruscant.

I think the sequence that makes the most sense as a story in the time period the ride is set in is:

Vader (goes full circle with the Death Star ending)
Kashyyyk (Because Hoth seems off unless it's a depiction of some really obscure EU bit about there being an earlier Imperial attack on Hoth and Palpatine banned Podracing early on in his administration)
Ackbar or Leia (Remember, Yoda was in hiding rather then actively helping)
Death Star (Empire outsourcing some of their work to old CiS remnants for Naboo occupation makes some sense but seems a little odd and is there some Clone Wars Recreation Society that has never been brought up before at Coruscant?)

Re: Have you had your "perfect" Star Tours II Sequence?

For me it happened once or twice:

    1. Vader
    2. Tattoine
    3. Leia
    4. Coruscant

I'm surprised the Death star scene is so many people favorite. It always felt so weak to me for some reason. In fact I think its the weakest sequence in the whole ride. But its not horrible just not that fun as the others.

I liked the old one, but dont miss it a bit! Change is good and especially one that changes everytime you go on it!

It's only happened once for me:

    1. Millenium Falcon/Han Solo
    2. Hoth
    3. Ackbar
    4. Geonosis

Plus after like 40 rides on it I still haven't been the Rebel Spy!!! My fiance got it like 2 trips ago though and he was ecstatic

Re: Have you had your "perfect" Star Tours II Sequence?

I've only ridden the new Star Tours twice so I haven't gotten all the scenes yet.
    My first one was:
    Imperial probe droid
    Tatooine
    Yoda
    Naboo

    Second was:
    Darth Vader
    Kashyyyk
    Ackbar
    Death Star

I liked the first one better.

Pretty much. The only reason I didn't list the Darth Vader/Ackbar/Death Star combo as my favorite was because as soon as Ackbar showed up this one person decided it would be funny to randomly yell "It's a trap" every few seconds for the rest of the ride.

Even though Leia said it before he did (in Empire -- "Luke! It's a trap!" on Cloud City-- but she didn't turn it into the campy moment that only a rubber-masked fishman could, I suppose).

I love this kind of analysis. The SW universe is very "canonistic" with its varying levels of "canonicity" so it's fair game. The walkers on Hoth were explained by GL himself (it's on Wookiepedia, in short there was a previous skirmish) so that, technically, is G-canon right there.

    You win!

And considering the 54 different combinations I'm surprised that "Yes" is so far ahead.

Yeah, I found an article on the Lucas handwave for the Star Tours team to go for it on Wikipedia's citations and brought that to Wookiepedia's attention for their earlier Battle of Hoth article and their speculation on that being the Star Tours battle as well. It's still something that would confuse a casual Star Wars fan though.
