^^^ That's the famous "goat trick"! Took me two tries to get it right, but now we do it on every ride.

I'm going to have to agree that the dynamite goat is definitely one of my favorites! Thanks for the reminder!

There are two donkey's on POTC, to be specific my fave's the one singing with the dog and pirate trio. He may not be the most advanced, but he always makes me smile.

I am curious how exactly you snapped this pic. One, it looks like it's just after a parade because of the jumbled mass of the crowd. But also because of what has to be projected light that is being cast on the faces of everyone who is nearing Town Square. A late afternoon or early evening shot where the sun is in the west could not highlight every person in the foreground of the photo. And also, the camera is very elevated. So either you have a zoom lens taking a shot from the train station (the least likeliest of possibilities) or you were on some sort of stage or something near the spot where the Christmas Tree traditionally is.
(I'm having a RDJ Sherlock Holmes moment right now. It even amazes myself.)

And back on topic, my current favorite animatronics are currently residents of the Magic Kingdom here in WDW. Not every single attraction because I haven't gone on all them, but not every ride does it for me. Carousel of Progress makes the list simply because it's a classic. Country Bear Jamboree also makes the list because it's also a timeless classic and it was one of my two favorites as a child in California up there with America Sings. I just wish they would bring the Vacation Hoedown to replace the original format because the original feels too out of place in this time period. My wife is not a fan of it because of that very reason. The Little Mermaid ride also makes the list because of how technically advanced they are. But my top favorite here has got to be Splash Mountain. I'm from California, having lived from Disneyland and worked on Splash Mountain as a CM there. I just went on it for the very first time yesterday having moved here within the last 2 years. And I was very highly impressed with it. Every animatronic seems so digital and smooth, and just so animated. I felt that after that first sizable drop that I dropped into the Song of the South film mixed in with America Sings. The backdrops along with the animatronics were just so colorful its the best eye candy these eyes have ever had. I really had fun on that attraction and its just so much better than the one in California. Only proving why everything is just made better out here.

I'd probably be whooped by Johnny Depps ghost if I didn't say Jack Sparrow. I think the animatronics are generally creepy, especially the Harrison Ford one. But I love and adore my droids over at Star Tours....hmm this is tough.

Speaking of which and I know its a bit off topic, but I saw one of the Sparrow characters outside of Pirates at WDW Magic Kingdom yesterday doing one of his side shows and the resemblance & likeness was AMAZING!!! Costuming, appearance, acting and voice were so spot on, I felt like I was actually watching Johnny Depp. Kudos to the CM playing that role.

At the end of the year the school/district had extra monies for field trips and they decided to take us to Disneyland because it was the bicentennial year. We got to visit Mr. Lincoln, watch "America on Parade," and go on America Sings. They also let us visit a couple of other attractions that had American historical value. I still remember how cool America Sings was at the time in its celebration of American music. They then let us choose one ride we wanted to ride before we left. Was a cool memory of the bicentennial year and what Disney had to offer. In fact, so much of what has made Disneyland so special to me was how much it elicited interest in both historical and literary subjects for me growing up. It got me wanting to know more about Mark Twain, pirates, atoms and molecules, Mars, and liquid space, to name just a few. And none of it needed a movie tie-in to engage me. <g>
