I was at last year's and when it got so massive that you couldn't get around, we left to get a good nights sleep. We figured we had 4 days to visit, no need to kill ourselves on that one. It was enough to have been there for the first day's part. We have ABSOLUTELY no desire to redo that experience. Especially with having the graduates there too. I hope all those that do go enjoy it!
^^ This. We were there for 4 days so we left at 11:30 and came back the next day when it was deserted.
No way. I originally had reservations for that evening at the Napa Rose with my parents so we could celebrate my college graduation. As soon as Disney announced this, I instantly changed my reservation to the next day. Even though we aren't going to be going into the park, we don't want to be anywhere near the resort during this madness. I saw the craziness that took place last year.
My husband and I will be there. We did not go for the last one and want to experience it at least once. I'm prepared for the crowd and the long lines, even the Grad Night kids. I'm hoping since iv'e already mentally prepared myself it wont be to bad. I can always leave if it's to overwhelming!
Won't be caught anywhere near the 24 hour event. Memorial Day weekend crowds (most schools closed Friday and Monday), Grad Nite, both parks open for 24 hours, sounds like a disastrous day at Disneyland to me. I know there will be die hards there, but it's definitely not the type of environment I enjoy at Disneyland.
Oh hell no. I was a bit bummed when I couldn't make the Leap Day thing, but after seeing the sheer madness that took place that day, I was thankful that I didn't go after all. Now this time, on a holiday weekend, and on a Grad Nite? Not a chance!
I keep going back and forth ( but I did block the day off at work just in case) I'm sure they'll be adequately staffed this time, it was no fun after about 3pm on leap day when the masses descended en mass. Groups of teenage kids smoking in large groups in the pass by the fountain near pixie hollow, the guy in the red pajamas smoking pot on the trail behind big thunder mountain (no employees around to point it out to...)
The morning that day was actually very mellow and nice, I have no illusions about it being anything of that sort this time so we'll see...
Yah, Leap Year was crazy but if you were there, it was totally fun. It really depends on who you're with and if you're able to roll with the punches. I'm just happy to be IN Disneyland and that was enough to keep me going.
I went for a few hours during the "One More Disney Day" because it was special and something they hadn't done in a long time. This one doesn't seem special to me at all. The highs and the lows of the leap year day are still fresh in my mind. No, really, ask me about it in person and see how I get pissed off about it all over again!
