Would Rocket Rod track removal close down Tomorrow Land For a while!

Is that the reason it is still there, or in order to remove the track all of tomorrow land would have to close down.

or is it just cost effective to remove

    lets hear you're opinion

Correction it's RR in the title aka Rocket Rods not RSR aka Radiator Spring Racers in DCA

I think the OP meant RR, which is Rocket Rods.
Anyways, to answer the question. I believe they would do it in portions. For example, they could close down the Autopia and Monorail for a while before moving on to the area above the Space Mountain entrance and Pizza Port. If I am not mistaken, they already removed the track from Star Tours during the rehab, so that shows that they are doing it a little bit at a time.

They could remove them in portions. But the interior parts are what would cause ride closures. That is what happens when attractions are interwoven like this. Its cool and all, but now we cant replace autopia or subs because they share space with the monorail and RR tracks. I think this is why we don't see this kind of thing done anymore.
In the quest for quality, I have no problem with the characters footing the bill.

If they were to remove the track, the very last bits that they would remove would be the main stretch down TL, they'd make sure that they removed the whole area around the subs showbuilding, then work their way in. Then they would wall off portions of it and do it over nite.
