So, has Radiator Springs Racers settled into a groove?

How's the ride doing consistently? Are there less breakdowns and are the animatronics working correctly at all times now?

I've notice that Doc has not been working for a few months now, he is just static. Last two visits I noticed Luigi isn't moving. Last visit one of the tractors didn't tip.

Last week I rode RSR twice. The first ride the tractors weren't tipping and Doc didn't move when you get out of the paint or tire room. You could hear his audio, though. The second ride the tractors tipped but Doc still didn't move.
I wish Frozen would have never been made.

racers has become DCA's version of Indy in Disneyland, Certain parts of the attraction either works or it doesn't and its always changing. I've ridden it so many times where I have had everything work or almost everything doesn't work, I've had audio issues where the safety spiel from Doc and Ramone for seat belts has gone off during the race over the bridges it was strange. The one effect that had never returned since opening was the last tractor that is permanently tipped over used to puff a ring of smoke like in the movie but that hasn't been doing that since after the first month.

This kind of stuff is just ridiculous when you think about it. I mean, how often do you see animatronics or audio issues occur on various rides at the parks... far too often. I honestly can't remember the last time I went to a Disney park (DLR or WDW) when there wasn't a malfunction of some sort on a ride. I understand things happen with machinery, etc, but when it happens every time I go to a Disney park and happens multiple times on the same ride, when I'm on the ride no less! (Haunted Manson, Snow White, Indy, etc), that is just inexcusable. Especially considering how much money it costs to go to Disneyland for a day.

I was on Mickey's Fun Wheel Saturday afternoon and saw two cars idling right next to the butte mid race. But, I do hear less chatter about how often it breaks down.

lol you said butte, It still does break down often but they have learned to recover quickly, The main issue is that they have lots of safety cut offs like Indy and I noticed that if the gap between cars is slightly off it will throw the cut off and cause the ride to shut down.

I rode the ride 5 times yesterday:

The Luigi Animatronic in the tire shop is not moving.
The Doc Animatronic is not moving (its been like this for months now).
One of the tipping tractors has been removed and replaced with a small static tractor.

I went on it last week and everything was working, the ride actually seemed faster. Did they speed up the racing portion?

Luigi's eyes didn't work at the starting line of the race last night. Looked like the screen was shut off and the whole windshield area was dark.

When I went on it on the Gumball Rally, the things that I noticed not working were:

    - Mater when you first go inside the show building (his face was stationary)
    - The tractors (they weren't tipping)
    - Doc (his face was stationary)

I feel like there was one more thing but I might've forgot. But yeah, it looked so horrible D:

Re: So, has Radiator Springs Racers settled into a groove?

I went on it friday night. One tractor tipped. Doc Hudson isn't turning to face the racers. Kind of sad.

Another thing I'd love for them to address is the audio at the very end. It's kind of hard to hear Lightning and Mater's banter when they're pumping sounds from the car.

Re: So, has Radiator Springs Racers settled into a groove?

Considering how expensive the land was to build and how much it costs to get into the park I think the least Disney could do is fix the ride and maintain it.
I wish Frozen would have never been made.

Re: So, has Radiator Springs Racers settled into a groove?

when i went the night before the gumball rally, everything worked fine... the only thing i noticed was that lightning's mouth was projected too low, and it looked kindof weird. but everything else was working!
