    Wrather Corporation Early 60's

Here are a couple of great shots from the early 1960's detailing businesses within the Jack Wrather Corporation. Bet there are a few here most did not realize Jack Wrather owned.

Oh, man, does that display ever bring back memories! As a kid and teenager, every cent I earned that wasn't spent at Disneyland was spent on science-geek stuff from A.C. Gilbert.

    Thanks for posting this Don!!!

Muzak was actually pretty profitable for Wrather. There is a list somewhere of all the things Muzak provided and it was much more than elevator music. I'll try to find that list.

That's Frank Bret who was a Wrather Co. executive. He is still alive (95 years old)!!

So I see the Lone Ranger, Lassie, the Disneyland Hotel, Muzak, Erector and Poise (the tampon company?!?).
    Am I missing any?

Poise was a newspaper supplement (Sunday papers) and targeted an audience for young girls. I have some info on the acquisition somewhere.
