    Replace DCA with...

Which secondary Disney theme park would you replace DCA with?

If you magically had the choice, no worries about size or budget... which park would you want directly across from Disneyland?

I would like to see it all turn into just Disneyland and not two parks....they can make it an island...have different types of enterances...a pier entrance, hotel entrances...."underwater" entrance...a walkway from Disneyland to the other side which would be filled up with Nemo type surroundings....kinda like the shark tank at sea world?....

The idea behind the pole is "which would you prefer?" moreso than ideal conditions. We can speculate on a new park, but we can't say we'd love it or hate it until it got built, but we'd be excited about it just because of the new and unknown, even if it didn't turn out to be the best once built.. So, given the current choices, which do you prefer?

That post doesn't make sense. You are asking in the pole what you would replace dca with and i voted for disneysea as something new was not a choice. I would prefer something new which should be a choice in this pole as you had asked what we would like to see across from disneyland. I said what i want and that is something new. If they could come up with three other different yet well themed parks at disney world that are unique and successful and then another well themed park at tokyo that is completely original then why can't Disneyland get a new and well themed park instead of one filled with bad themeing, and mostly off the shelf rides(mullholland madness was on rct2 and most of the other ride experienxces can be found at other parks)Disneysea was a completely new park Done well and first class while dca was a cheap and cheesy pressler/harris era park. aI agree the park has gotten better over the last for years but it still was cheap. You also said that you wouldn't have to worry about size or budget and a completely new park definately fits into that criteria.

    Re: Replace DCA with...

I agree with the others. Please, no more clones. I'm so tired of them and I'd prefer to keep DCA rather than replace it with a WDW park.

If it were possible, I'd say go back in time, slap around Eisner and tell him DCA = bad idea and get Westcot built instead. That's not an option though, obviously.

If they did choose to replace DCA with something completely diffrent I'd want an entirely new park that has a theme that makes sense instead of a muddled half-interesting theme with half-hearted attractions.

I would like them to keep DCA, and see how it all plays out with the new management! We've already seen some good changes!! Can't wait to see what they do, and if the park turns around

    Re: Replace DCA with...

If instead of building DisneySeas in Toyko, they somehow managed to build it opposite Disneyland, I don't think there would be many complaints. It would be an original park, it would be much better than DCA, and it could even have a clone of Tower of Terror much like DisneySeas is getting now. Now of course this same money is no object team would never have trashed Tomorrowland so Soarin' or something like it would probably have replaced circle vision and of course, Pooh would never been built.

I always like this idea and when I first attended DCA, I thought this was what I was getting.

I guess, however, as I mill over this, it is good that it isn't a 'clone' park, it really is trying to be different. But some of the rides are clones. In the end, let's let it run it's course.

Of course, my personal opinion would be "Roo-ville" and it would be only rides I wanted and approved of, but somehow, I doubt that will happen.

    Go figure!

    Good discussion.

Actually I think that putting a few Mom and Pop stores where DCA is right now would suit my savy .
