We pull out the old videos and DVDs ("A Day at Disneyland" is a favorite). Re-watch some of the movies that aren't already in the kids' constant rotation of faves (they've never adored "Alice" like I do, but "Cars" and "Beauty" and such are perennials year-round).

We also go online for some YouTube ride POV videos to get pumped up, and to help assuage the youngest's anxiety.

Lots of Disney-themed artwork seems to get created before a trip too!

A sleepless night before is often a pre-trip tradition in my house.

but beware, nothing is more powerful than the imagination; for it can also expand your greatest fears into an overwhelming nightmare.

Agreed with that one! For at least a week before, too.

50th CD box set. Definately Walt's Opening day speech, Main St. songs, Tiki Room, Small World, Splash Mt., Haunted Mansion and Pirates. Also, videos of the same attractions on Youtube all week until our weekly visit.

Go on YouTube and search Adam Rucker. He is a big Disney fan and has a lot of videos of him at Disneyland. The videos are of mostly him " vloggin" but hey I like to see his videos. It makes me and my girlfriend feel like we are there with him.

I pull out my 1966 wall map of Disneyland and spread it out on the table and point out to my family what my favorites were and what is now my favorites and then we do a round table on change.

    Anytime is Disney music time.

I think the only tradition we have is my wife telling me to calm down.

Our PRe-trip (today as we leave in less than 21 hours) is doing about 50 loads of laundry, getting the house in order, and packing...

When my daughter was small, we used to get our "Disney legs" in shape by taking nightly walks around our local park. Of course, the topic of conversation while walking was what attractions we were going to go to first, and what we were going to buy.

    Re: Pre trip traditions

I tend to watch ride POV's on YouTube for a week or two before my trip just to get myself excited. This past trip I watched some for Thunder Mountain Railroad since it is closed. I usually go to Downtown Disney the night I arrive just to have something to do. My family lives nearby so they meet up with me and have dinner or something.

Other than that I have a sleepless night and wake up too early in the morning and want to go before the place is even open. You know, the usual.
I am so sick of Frozen I can't even describe the feeling.
