Re: Limited Time Magic: Mickey's Compass Quest

Does anyone know what the "Special Prize" is for those who complete the challenge?

And what's the difference between the AP Viewing & a regular viewing?
And is the "challenge" available for the AP viewing?

Going up on Tues 6/4, they're having the AP viewing that day & didn't know if I should just wait till that viewing or go to any other one during the day.

PS: Going solo, so if anyone needs a ride buddy, pick me pick me
A bad day at Disneyland is better than a good day at work. But who ever heard of a bad day at Disneyland?

Probably...that's what they did for the Easter egg hunt in DCA, right? Or was it a little keychain?

For the egg hunt, you paid $5, which basically meant you paid $5 for the Vinylmation keychains whether you did the hunt or not. This is not a pay to play, so expect the surprise to be a button (birthday, anniversary, married etc) with the Magical Map logo or something. On one hand I don't expect it to be a substantial prize, but on the other hand, not just outright saying it will just be a button is also suspicious(they don't want people to bum rush the event if the prize is good). Guess we'll find out when the first Micechatter posts about it!
It's actually "Cars Land", not "Carsland".

I completed the quest and the prize is a sticker for getting 100%. Not sure what you get for getting some wrong, but I'm sure you get the sticker anyway.

    Cover

    Map

    Sticker

    Notes:
The correct Tiki Room answer is misleading. Replace the word "Above" with near
The questions are too difficult to guess, even with the "CLUES" given.
To answer all correctly you need to ride Small World, Jungle Cruse, and Storybook.

(Cheat: Ask for an extra map and scratch off all answers.)

Gotta say, while I'm disappointed in the prize, the fact that Disney put out actual compasses for the quest is pretty neat.

Agreed! I like these little scavenger hunt things, and they certainly don't impede on guests who choose not to participate.

I certainly agree and I think Disneyland should do more. As long as they don't impede on any attraction operation in this case Storybookland/Casey Jr., Jungle Cruise, Davey Crocket Canoes, and Small world (Tiki Room would be the exception because the answer that was listed did not correlate with the actual location because I guess to many people were trying to enter through the exit), also it help the attendance numbers for those attractions. And it gave AP'ers something to do. It took me 1 and 1/2 hours to do all the answers because I knew where I was going. I could see Disney doing this again. It just needed a better prize.
