I think a 13 year old and an 8 year old, if they are very active will like the Redwook Creek Challenge at California Adventure and Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland Park.
My grandson likes to buy and trade pins.
Fun places to eat are Rainforest Cafe, and Naples in Downtown Disney. Good food.
I am a Disneyland newby, but I recommend buying a few Disneyland guidebooks and reading about all that the Disneyland Resort has. You know your kids and you can better choose activites for them.
A rest in the middle of most days is always a good idea. Even if it's only a sit down meal.
Plan a little, go with the flow, and educate yourself. 3 good things to make for a good Disney vacation
