Question What's the best way to see DCA In one day?

Now I know what you're thinking.. It's not that big of a park , you could see all of it in one day. But the real question here is aside from heading straight into Cars Land what can I do to maximize my visit?

Here's a little more info to go I'm going with a date who has not been to dca in 2 years. We are both pixar fans so the play parade is a must.. We are Not interested in kiddie rides.. And will most likely be staying late for a viewing of the world of color

I'd say just cruise around and play it by ear. Get fast passes, and work around that schedule?

Head straight to toy story. You can probably get two rides in.

I don't think it's difficult at all to do DCA in a day and do everything.
I always do Toy Story Midway Mania first thing when the park opens because the line is typically long, then California Screamin' to wake me up =P Afterwards, you can wander around as you like, most of the lines are short outside of Carsland.

I will do Soarin' after lunch (having grabbed the FP before lunch), it's a good ride for after a meal. Mad T Party is a nice spot to relax during the day, there is rarely anyone over there. If you do Grizzly River Rapids, I also recommend a fastpass.

If you get magic morning, line up for the RSR fastpass about 15 minutes before the park opens. You will still have plenty of time to ride other rides before then and I have always gotten a fastpass, meanwhile others have wasted their entire MM in line.

Best way to do it. DCA was easier to do before BVS and Cars Land, but still can be done. Try hitting Hollywood land in the morning - get fast passes to The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror. Do Soarin' and Grizzly River Run on that side of the park and work your way to Paradise Pier. By then you should be able to get a fast pass for Screamin'. Radiator Springs Racers is nearly impossible to get a fast pass for, do the single rider line up and the wait will be 20-45 minutes compared to the gross 1 hour + wait for stand by. The both of you are likely to get in the same car, but if not you'll have to ride individually. Get your World of Colour fast passes at any time of the day - it doesn't alter your fast passes you've already gotten if you didn't know.

Here's what we did last Saturday.
    1. Get there early. At least an hour before opening.
    2. When gates open, get in line for the RSR fastpass.
    3. Go on Luigi's.
    4. Go on Screamin.
    5. Go on Toy Story.
    6. Go on Goofy (or don't).
    7. Back to RSR for Fastpass.
    8. ToT (closed for us).
    9. Turtle Talk with Crush.
    10. Then we left. It was 11:30AM. 'cause Disneyland is right across the foyer.

Since you're on a date, you'll want to do the mermaid ride and make out. Maybe Soarin' since she might have forgotten what it's like.
    Nothing else has changed.

Check the times for the parade. Check out the P&F "show" ('cause it's the only show worth watching on Disney Channel).
If it's a hot day, then you might want to try Grizzly, though the best way to go on that ride is via the single rider. And you're on a date, so probably not a great idea.

    Meh, the lighting's too bright.

Another thing to thank Imagineering for.
