Re: Rainforest Cafe - Still Fun ?

When Rainforest Cafes first started popping up I really was a sucker for the ambiance especially when at Disneyland, but every single time I went I noticed that my food was always anywhere from bad to mediocre and bland at the very best. I think it may be in part to the menu being so big that the chefs aren't perfecting each item as good as they could or should be.

But some people seem to really like it. I think the only way I'd go again is if I am with kids who want to go.

If you had a good experience last time then absolutely go back.

I took my daughter a couple years ago (3yrs old) to the one in Vegas and she FREAKED OUT and started crying. The only reason we didn't have to leave was because we were close to the large aquarium so she could watch them instead.

They got rid of the ones in Canada - so every time we're in the resorts we go at least twice. You'd be pleasantly surprised at how good the food is! It's great variety, it really reminds me of South America and a really animated version of the culture. It's always busy and fast paced which is something I really like. The animatronics are really interesting, and I especially love the monsoon every half hour. It's a special place.

Not a fan, but I prefer better food no matter what atmosphere it's in.

I think it's really overpriced for a tiny bit of atmosphere. A lot of restaurants have fishtanks, even my kids weren't impressed.

Food, service, and scenery upkeep/advancement are lacking.
