Very true. Even people who knew him personally and very well could never predict what he was goinig to do next.
"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations, the new needs friends." - Anton Ego

So from what I'm getting from this thread, people think Walt would run his company into the ground by reducing profits and revenue and be completely unappreciative of everything WDI has done. Hmm....

Re: If Walt Came Back To Life...

As others have stated it’s impossible to know what he’d think of his company now. The world is a completely different place than it was in the 60’s and the mouse house has had to shift its direction to keep competitive in an ever expanding world of entertainment. When he died his vision for Epcot was far removed from the theme park results of WDW.

From his history Walt never spent too much time on one thing and he constantly moved on to a new field of interest. It’s hard to say whether he’d even still care about the parks, animation or even entertainment. With such massive technological advances I could see Walt chasing those ideas and concepts.

One thing I would venture to guess at would be his disappointment over the memorializing of Disneyland (If he continued to care about the direction of the parks). I think that if he’d been here throughout its many years many of the “timeless” popular attractions would have been removed and replaced, making room for the new and exciting, no matter how risky it was.
